Description
Perios is a character associated with the animated space adventure Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs, an English-language version that adapted its story and cast from an earlier Japanese anime series. In the original Japanese version he is known by the name Perios, a Deathcula general and secondary antagonist, while the English-language interpretation of the same character is Jesse Blue, a former Cavalry Command cadet who becomes one of the Star Sheriffs' most personal enemies.
In background terms, Perios is a general serving under the Deathcula leader Hyuza, who is called Nemesis in the English version. He was originally dispatched by Hyuza to explore Ganymede in search of a possible new home for the Deathcula people. Jesse is expelled from the Star Sheriffs program, and although General White Hawk later offers him a pardon, April cannot accept his feelings, and he leaves for good.
