Description
Kirihito appears as a character in the 1989 anime adaptation of Akuma-kun, where he is known as the twelfth apostle. His background establishes him as a classmate of the protagonist, Ichirou Umoregi, who is also known as Akuma-kun. In his daily life, he presents the outward appearance of a saintly and supportive peer. Within the school setting, he behaves in an altruistic manner and acts as an ally to Ichirou, creating a facade of friendship and virtue.

However, this benevolent image conceals a much darker identity and secret motivations. Under the disguise of a character named Mr. Satan, Kirihito operates an American oil company. This alter ego serves as a cover for his true objective: to secretly plot the death of Akuma-kun. His personality is therefore deeply complex and duplicitous, defined by the stark contrast between his innocent-looking schoolboy persona and his ruthless ambitions as a villain.

Kirihito's role in the story is that of a traitor and an enemy hidden in plain sight. His betrayal becomes evident when he takes a series of hostile actions against Akuma-kun and his group. For instance, after the apostles lose their home, Kirihito offers them shelter at his stable, an act that initially appears generous but is later understood as part of his deceptive strategy. During this period, he begins to behave strangely. When Akuma-kun's crow arrives at the stable to deliver a message to the apostles, Kirihito secretly shoots the bird, though the other apostles are unaware of his guilt.

Key relationships in his story are primarily defined by his deception. His relationship with Ichirou is built on a false foundation of school camaraderie that masks his murderous intent. His connection to the other apostles is similarly based on his act of providing them shelter while he works against their leader from within. The narrative arc concerning Kirihito culminates in his exposure. Following a confrontation where Mr. Satan attempts to save Akuma-kun from being shot, leading to the downfall of both characters, the truth comes to light. The police and a character named Satō subsequently unmask Mr. Satan, revealing him to be Kirihito. This moment of unmasking represents the full realization of his duplicity and his development from a trusted classmate to a revealed antagonist. Regarding his notable abilities, no specific supernatural powers are detailed, as his primary method of operation relies on secrecy, disguise, and deception rather than overt magical abilities.
