Aligura, known as the Queen of Monomania, is one of the Thirteen Kings, a group of immensely powerful beings residing in the otherworldly dimension of Hellsalem's Lot. Her appearance is deceptively human, with shoulder-length rosy brown hair typically tied in a ponytail, and she favors a gothic lolita style of dress. A notable feature is a metallic mask she wears over her face, which splits open in the center to reveal a single, large purple eye. Before the events of the series, Aligura was in a loving relationship with a man named Deldro Brody, whose personality she genuinely adored. However, she became infatuated with the physical appearance of another man, Dog Hummer. In pursuit of an ideal partner, she captured Dog Hummer, liquefied Deldro Brody's body, and replaced Dog Hummer's blood with the liquid remains of her former boyfriend, fusing the two into a single being that possessed Deldro's personality and Dog's body. Deldro ended their relationship, but Aligura's obsession only intensified, leading her to relentlessly hunt the fused being across Hellsalem's Lot, wreaking havoc with no regard for destruction or lives lost. Despite this, when her fixation is not the immediate focus, she can be surprisingly level-headed and even helpful; after kidnapping Leonardo Watch, she spent much of the time giving him unsolicited but well-meaning relationship advice, which inadvertently gave him the confidence to ask a girl on a date. She has also been seen calmly spending leisure time, such as watching fireworks with her fellow King, Femt. Aligura possesses superhuman durability, able to survive immense physical impacts, and commands vast resources, including a massive monster truck fortress used in her search.
