Description
Fiore Forvedge Yggdimillennia is a central figure in the Holy Grail War as a Master of the Black faction. She is a young woman of nineteen years with brown hair and blue eyes, and she serves as the current head of the Forvedge family, a lineage of mages that has allied itself with the larger Yggdimillennia clan in Romania. Her position within the clan is one of high prestige, as she is recognized as a candidate to succeed the family leadership due to her prodigious talents as a magus, particularly in the specialized fields of necromancy and ergonomics.

Fiore's most defining physical characteristic is her reliance on a wheelchair for mobility. This condition stems from a congenital anomaly where the Magic Circuits within her legs have deteriorated or mutated, effectively paralyzing them. While this is a significant hindrance, it is a direct consequence of her dense and high-quality Magic Circuits, which are considered a once-in-a-century treasure for the family. Her latent potential as a magus is immense, believed to surpass even that of the clan elder, Darnic, with expectations that she would easily rise through the ranks of the Clock Tower from the lowest "Frame" to "Cause" and beyond.

In terms of personality, Fiore is a classic example of a reclusive scholar. She is deeply dedicated to the pursuit of magecraft and is notably ignorant of the modern world, once seriously asking if "the net" referred to a physical net. Despite this, she has a strong sense of curiosity and has been known to pester her brother for a cell phone like his. She carries herself with an air of a prim and proper noble lady, but she struggles profoundly with a trait that is considered a weakness for a magus: empathy. This internal conflict is rooted in a childhood trauma when her father, as a lesson in the cold nature of spiritual evocation, killed a stray dog she had grown fond of. She cannot forget or bury this memory, constantly confronting the ethical disconnect between her humanity and her ambition as a magus.

Her primary motivation for seeking the Holy Grail is to resolve this contradiction. Her wish is not for power or lineage, but to heal her legs. However, this seemingly simple wish carries a devastating cost. The paralysis is not a separate ailment but is caused by the very Magic Circuits that grant her prodigious talent. To walk again, she would have to remove or sever the Magic Circuits in her legs, effectively renouncing her identity and heritage as a magus. Her participation in the war is driven by the desire to obtain a miracle that allows her to have both a functioning body and her magical abilities.

Within the story, Fiore serves as a key leader for the Black faction from the very beginning. She summons the Archer-class Servant, Chiron, using a catalyst of an ancient arrow with blackened blood on its tip. Her combat capabilities are augmented by her own creation, a powerful Mystic Code known as the Bronze-Link Manipulator. This is a set of four mechanical arms attached to her back, forged from a special metal alloy. Each arm is inhabited by the spirit of an animal, allowing for both manual control by Fiore and autonomous reflexes to defend the user. This "connection-strengthening" type of Mystic Code is formidable, prioritizing defense and rapid reaction speed over pure offensive power. She has given each of the four arms a name, treating them as pets.

Her most significant relationship is with her younger brother, Caules. While she believes herself to be a reliable elder sister, she is, in reality, heavily dependent on him for support, a fact he kindly never points out. Caules, who has inferior magical talent compared to his sister, serves as both her caretaker and her emotional anchor. Her relationship with her Servant, Chiron, is also crucial. As the wise mentor of many Greek heroes, Chiron becomes a guide for Fiore, recognizing her gentle nature and often worrying that the path of a magus will only lead her to unhappiness.

Throughout the Holy Grail War, Fiore faces several trials that force her to grow. She engages in a desperate magical duel against the Red Faction's Saber Master, Kairi Sisigou, where her theoretical brilliance meets his ruthless practical experience, nearly costing her life before Caules intervenes. Later, she is personally targeted by the Assassin of Black, Jack the Ripper. Using her intellect to survive the encounter, she escapes her wheelchair and calls for her Servant's aid.

The culmination of her character arc comes after the loss of the clan elder. Fiore briefly assumes leadership of the Black faction, but the events of the war lead her to a profound realization. Through conversations with her brother and Chiron, she finally confronts her own internal conflict. Rather than continue to pursue the Grail for an impossible wish, she makes the difficult choice to abandon her life as a magus. She relinquishes her position and her family's Magic Crest, transferring them to Caules. Upon severing the circuits that caused her paralysis, she loses her magical power but regains the use of her legs. The story concludes with her embarking on the arduous journey of rehabilitation, learning to walk again as she steps away from the world of magecraft. In alternate timelines, such as in the world of The Case Files of Lord El-Melloi II, Fiore makes a similar decision to leave magic behind independently, demonstrating that this choice is a core part of her identity.
