Description
Emris Yeyel Fremevilla is the grandson of King Ambrosius Tahavo Fremevilla and the second son of Riothamus Pars Fremevilla in the kingdom of Fremmevilla. As his elder brother, Uzel, is afflicted with a serious illness, Emris holds a significant position as the de facto crown prince. He is a young man of impressive stature, standing nearly two meters tall, with a muscular, robust physique. He has long, orange hair that he often keeps at waist-length and blue eyes, bearing a strong physical resemblance to his grandfather in his youth.
True to his appearance, Emris possesses a bold, brash, and straightforward personality that is often described as unruly for a member of the royal family. He is a dedicated warrior at heart, valuing power and strength above all else. This tendency leads others, such as the knight Adeltrud Olter, to privately label him a muscle-brain. His speech and mannerisms are rough and direct, a stark contrast to the refined elegance expected of a prince. Due to his failure to cultivate proper royal conduct, he was sent to the neighboring kingdom of Kuschpercka for several years to learn, though this experience did little to temper his inherently boisterous and aggressive nature.
Emris's primary motivation is his passion for combat and powerful Silhouette Knights. He displays an extraordinary interest in new and innovative models, particularly those designed by the prodigy Ernesti Echevarria. Upon witnessing a demonstration of Ernesti's creations, Emris becomes determined to acquire a custom-made knight of his own. His primary request for this machine is overwhelming power, a wish that leads to the creation of his signature unit, the golden Silhouette Knight named Gord Rio. He is driven by a warrior's pride and a desire to prove his strength on the battlefield, which aligns with his role as a protector of his homeland and family.
Emris plays a crucial role as a powerful ally to the main protagonist. After returning to his home kingdom, he quickly forms a friendly rivalry and a strong working relationship with Ernesti, for whom he develops a deep respect. He becomes a key member of the Silver Phoenix Knights, often operating alongside them under the guise of being the young master of the Silver Phoenix Trading Company. During the great Western Continental War, he throws himself into the conflict to rescue his aunt, Lady Martina, who resides in the besieged kingdom of Kuschpercka. On the battlefield, he serves as a frontline commander and a heavy-hitting ace pilot, wielding his immense strength to break enemy lines and obliterate fortifications.
His key relationships are defined by his royal lineage and military associations. He shares a bond with his grandfather, Ambrosius, which is a mix of deep respect and spirited rivalry. This is best demonstrated when he competes against the old king in a duel to claim the rights to the Gord Rio, refusing to hold back against the former monarch. His relationship with Ernesti is built on mutual benefit and admiration, with Ernesti providing the technology and Emris providing the political cover and formidable combat power to test it. He also has family ties in Kuschpercka, including his aunt, his cousin Isadora Fairfleet, and her father Fernando.
As a character, Emris shows a notable trajectory from a simple royal brawler to a more responsible, though still boisterous, leader. Initially, he is portrayed as a prince who is more interested in fighting than governance. However, as the story progresses, particularly after the great war, he begins to accept the weight of his position as a future monarch. He demonstrates political consideration, such as arranging a position for his friend Arkid as an aide to the queen of Kuschpercka. However, his adventurous and brash nature never fully disappears, leading him to occasionally abandon his diplomatic post to explore new frontiers, showcasing his enduring, restless spirit.
Regarding notable abilities, Emris is an exceptionally skilled pilot, possessing refined combat instincts honed through numerous battles. While his fighting style focuses on raw power and aggressive charges, his piloting technique is also of a very high order, allowing him to defeat formidable enemies. As a commander, he is capable of leading troops from the front, inspiring his forces with his fearless charges. In his custom knight, the Gord Rio, he is able to unleash devastating attacks, most notably the Blast Howling, a powerful beam weapon that can destroy gates and entire squadrons of enemy knights in a single blast.
