Description
Loki Oriflamme, a high-ranking vampire of the powerful Oriflamme lineage, is the biological elder brother of Luca Oriflamme and the adoptive nephew of August Ruthven. As a Vampire of the Crimson Moon, he holds the position of Beastia, serving directly under Queen Faustina. Despite this status, Loki bears a Malnomen curse that condemns him to life in isolation and confinement within Castle Carbunculus, where he remains perpetually shackled.

He possesses brown hair and distinctive feline-like eyes with black sclerae and blue irises. His attire is typically a rumpled white tunic, with visible shackles around his neck and arms underscoring his constrained existence. Loki demonstrates deep care and protectiveness towards his younger brother Luca. During moments of distress, such as shock waves shaking the castle, Loki reassures Luca and maintains calm. Jeanne, Luca's chevalier, notes Luca feels safest beside Loki, who serves as his primary source of emotional and physical security. Luca regards Loki as his "precious person" and acts freely and comfortably around him, contrasting with his reserved behavior around others like Ruthven.

Loki served Queen Faustina directly. He participated in the task of destroying her corpse, reacting irreverently upon learning her body survived: *“…That woman. After we went to the trouble of smashing up her corpse for her… So the old wreck was still rotting, was it? Huh… Your Majesty?”* His curse and isolation prevent active political participation, though familial ties sustain his influence. The origin of his Malnomen remains ambiguous—potentially stemming from his own actions, accident, or manipulation by others.

His narrative presence is largely confined by imprisonment. In the Parisian Excursion Arc, Luca sought the Book of Vanitas to cure Loki, but Ruthven denied Vanitas permission, stating "salvation comes in many forms." Loki reappeared in the Beast of Gévaudan Arc, where he and Luca sensed Faustina's resurgence. Loki remained composed, comforting a terrified Luca by patting his head while downplaying the event. His abilities beyond standard vampire traits are not detailed, though the Beastia role implies significant power. His relationships minimally extend beyond family and the Queen, with no documented romantic ties or broader social connections.

Loki continues to live in isolation at Castle Carbunculus. His curse and imprisonment persist unresolved, his role tied to Luca's emotional well-being and the unresolved mysteries surrounding Queen Faustina's condition.
