TV-Series
Description
Chihiro Shiranami is a minor character in the Classroom of the Elite series, known primarily for her close, one-sided relationship with her classmate Honami Ichinose. She is a student in Class 1-B during her first year at the Advanced Nurturing High School, where her class is led by the popular and capable Honami.

Physically, Chihiro is a teenage girl of average height with short, light-colored hair, often described as blonde, and bluish-violet eyes. Her style of dress includes the standard school uniform, and she has occasionally been seen in a bikini at the school's pool. Her student ID number is S01T004744, and she is a member of the school's art club, indicating an interest in creative expression. Her birthday is November 28.

In terms of personality, Chihiro is depicted as gentle, polite, and generally easy to get along with. She demonstrates good team spirit and cooperativeness, making her a reliable group member despite her other limitations. Her official school evaluation reflects this, giving her above-average marks in cooperation (C+), average scores in academic ability and intellect (C), but very low marks in decision-making (D) and physical ability (D-). This assessment notes her need to improve her physical condition and somewhat timid nature.

The most defining aspect of Chihiro's character is her deep admiration and romantic love for her friend, Honami Ichinose. She is openly affectionate with Honami, once hugging her in class and expressing joy at being in the same group as her. This admiration eventually develops into a romantic crush, which she confesses by writing a love letter and placing it in Honami's locker. The confession takes a turn when she arrives at the meeting spot and finds Honami with Kiyotaka Ayanokōji from Class D. Mistaking them for a couple, she tearfully asks if they are together. Ayanokōji clarifies they are just friends, bringing Chihiro relief, but he then insists that Honami give an honest answer to Chihiro's feelings. Honami ultimately rejects Chihiro's romantic advances, stating she does not feel the same way. Although both girls promise to remain friends, Chihiro runs away in tears, heartbroken.

Following this rejection, Chihiro appears to have worked through her feelings. She is later seen spending time with Honami at the school pool without issue, suggesting they were able to salvage their friendship. However, she remains cautious of Ayanokōji, as she is aware of Honami's interest in him and may feel a sense of rivalry or wariness regarding his influence on her friend. While generally kind, Chihiro can also show a surprisingly strict or harsh side to certain male students.

In her role within the story, Chihiro is a supporting character whose narrative purpose is closely tied to Honami Ichinose. Her most significant plot involvement occurs during the first-year arc, where her confession and subsequent rejection provide insight into Honami's character and her relationship with Ayanokōji. During the deserted island special test in the anime adaptation, Chihiro takes on the responsibility of acting as the leader for Class B, demonstrating that despite her low physical evaluation and timid personality, she is trusted by her classmates and capable of taking charge. Her leadership style appears to be safe and cooperative, as her class secured second place during that test. Beyond these moments, she remains a background figure, representing one of Honami's close friends within Class B.
