Peridot is one of the elder gems in Land of the Lustrous, a mature and composed figure among the crystalline beings who inhabit a world threatened by the Lunarians. They have a lime-green color scheme, with short yellow-green hair, sharp thin eyes, and thin eyebrows, and they wear the summer or winter uniform depending on the season, along with black loafers. Their mineral hardness is 6.5, which is mid-range among the gems, giving them average but respectable combat capability rather than exceptional physical power.
Peridot is best known as the specialist in paper production, a role they carry with intense dedication and pride. Their craftsmanship is so absorbing that they are sometimes found buried in piles of paper, and their devotion to the craft is well known among the other gems.
