TV-Series
Description
George is a rogue mage and a minor antagonist affiliated with the Eye of the Midnight Sun, also known as the White Night Eye, a terrorist organization seeking to overthrow the Clover Kingdom. His role in the story is brief but serves to highlight the organization's structure and the loyalty it commands from its members.

Regarding his background, very little is revealed about his life before joining the Eye of the Midnight Sun. He is first seen as part of a group of reinforcements who arrive to assist fellow members, the mages Valtos and Rades, when they encounter difficulty during a mission against Asta and his allies. Following a clash, the group is forced to retreat when additional Magic Knights arrive. Georges loyalty to the organization and its leader, Licht, is the most defining aspect of his character. After being captured by the Magic Emperor, Julius Novachrono, he remains defiant during interrogation. When his captors attempt to forcibly extract information from his mind using magic, the attempt fails due to a protective spell placed on him. In this moment, George explicitly states that although his comrades abandoned him to save themselves, their master did not, and therefore he will never betray him.

His central role in the plot unfolds from this point of capture. While he and a fellow rogue mage, Catherine, are imprisoned, they hold a crucial piece of information. The Magic Emperor discovers that a traitor exists among the captains of the Magic Knights, the kingdom's primary military force. Because his mind is protected, the only way to extract the information is through Asta, whose Anti-Magic can nullify the protective spell. After Asta dispels it, Marx, the Magic Emperor's aide, uses his own magic to compel George and Catherine to answer questions. Under this compulsion, George is forced to reveal that the traitor is Gueldre Poizot, the captain of the Purple Orca squad. This revelation is his most significant contribution to the plot, as it exposes a major threat within the kingdom's leadership.

In terms of personality, George is depicted as calm and composed, even in dire situations such as his capture and interrogation. His defining trait is his unwavering loyalty. Unlike some of his fellow members who prioritize their own survival, he remains steadfast in his devotion to Licht, whom he refuses to betray of his own free will. This suggests a deep-seated sense of gratitude and commitment, indicating that the Eye of the Midnight Sun, despite its villainous actions, provides its members with a powerful sense of belonging or purpose. He is not driven by personal ambition or cruelty but by a feudatory kind of faith in his leader.

Regarding his key relationships, the most important is his bond with Licht. His statement that his master did not abandon him is the core of his motivation, implying that Licht personally rescued or protected him in a way that earned absolute loyalty. He has no significant personal connections with the main protagonists, serving only as an obstacle for Asta to overcome and a source of information for Julius. His relationship with his fellow captive, Catherine, is one of shared circumstance, as they face interrogation together and both exhibit a similar defiant attitude before being magically compromised.

George does not undergo any personal development or change over the course of his appearance. He begins and ends as a loyal subordinate of the Eye of the Midnight Sun. After revealing the traitor under magical compulsion, he fades from the narrative, with no further information given about his ultimate fate or any subsequent change in his beliefs or personality.

Notable abilities of George include his proficiency in Wind Magic, his primary form of attack. He is also able to use Creation Magic, which allows him to shape his generated wind into tangible objects. These abilities, however, are not showcased in great detail beyond their basic categorization. He possesses a grimoire, a standard magical tool for mages in this world, which contains his wind-based spells. Additionally, it is implied that he, like Catherine, had a powerful protective spell of unknown origin placed on his mind by the Eye of the Midnight Sun, making him resistant to mental intrusion and interrogation magic. This defensive measure is a notable ability, though it is not his own but a spell cast upon him by another member of the organization.
