Description
Johann Ibrahim Revil, known as Admiral Revil, rose to supreme commander of the Earth Federation Space Force by UC 0078. When the One Year War erupted in UC 0079, he commanded Federation fleets as an admiral. His flagship *Ananke* was destroyed during the Battle of Loum by Zeon mobile suits, leading to his capture by the Black Tri-Stars. This defeat pushed the Federation towards surrender negotiations.
Revil later escaped Zeon captivity with Federation agent and Zeon defector aid. Returning to Federation territory, he stunned forces with his "Zeon is exhausted!" speech, revealing observed weaknesses in Zeon's military capabilities. This revitalized Federation morale, causing the rejection of surrender terms; both sides subsequently signed the Antarctic Treaty banning weapons of mass destruction.
As commander of Operation Odessa, he orchestrated the assault on Zeon's Eastern European mining facilities. During this campaign, he authorized Lieutenant Matilda Ajan to deliver RX-78-2 Gundam upgrade modules to the *White Base*. Following the operation's success, he met the *White Base* crew personally and directed them to Belfast for resupply. In the concurrent *Cucuruz Doan's Island* events, he ordered the *White Base* to depart immediately for Belfast, prioritizing deployment over rescue for missing pilot Amuro Ray.
Revil later engaged in covert peace talks with Sovereign Degwin Sodo Zabi. During these negotiations, Degwin's son Gihren Zabi ordered the Solar Ray superweapon fired at the meeting site. The attack destroyed Revil's command ship *Phoebe*, killing Revil, Degwin, and most of their fleets.
