Olsen pilots for the Earth Federation Forces aboard the *White Base*. Assigned to transport Amuro Ray and Kai Shiden alongside their mobile suits to Alegranza Island, Olsen co-pilots a Gunperry with Job John. Their mission is to patrol for Zeon remnants suspected of destroying an earlier search team. After deploying Amuro and Kai, Olsen and John receive orders to return immediately to the *White Base*, despite Amuro and the RX-78-02 Gundam vanishing during the operation.
