Description
Kengo Miyazawa, a member of the Little Busters, sports spiky gray hair and typically wears a kendo uniform instead of a school uniform. He boasts an undefeated record of 100 consecutive kendo victories. Outwardly, he projects an image of honor, sophistication, and stoicism, often serving as the group's rational voice. Beneath this exterior lies a naive and childlike nature, driven by a strong desire for fun and camaraderie.

He joined the Little Busters after Masato Inohara, Kyousuke Natsume, and Rin Natsume defeated his father, freeing him from a life solely focused on kendo. Initially, Kengo supported Kyousuke's plan to prepare Rin Natsume and Riki Naoe for the real world within an artificial environment. However, witnessing Rin's mental breakdown due to the plan's intensity shifted his stance. He began advocating for Rin and Riki to remain in the artificial world permanently, believing they couldn't handle real-world hardships. To prolong his time with the group, he faked an arm injury, wearing a red jacket with the Little Busters insignia. This change led him to repeatedly challenge Kyousuke's methods, culminating in a physical confrontation during a baseball game where Kyousuke manipulated the rules to win.

His reluctance to face reality stemmed from unresolved personal struggles, including an impending early death and regret over dedicating his youth to kendo instead of friendships. After losing a baseball game against Riki and Rin during the second trial in Refrain, he acknowledged their growth and his own emotional vulnerability. This defeat prompted him to confront his feelings, reconcile with Kyousuke, and realign with the group's original goal. Later, during a real-world school excursion, he saved Rin's life by shielding her from a bus accident.

In the crossover series Kaginado, Kengo appears in a chibi form alongside characters from other Key franchises. He participates in brief comedic segments, including a farewell scene with Kyousuke and Masato that escalates into a conflict with Rin over Riki. He also joins a soccer match against characters from other series, teaming with Masato, Yōhei Sunohara, and a cat named Dorj; supernatural interference during the game destroys his clothes. These appearances maintain his established traits without introducing new character development or background beyond his original portrayal.
