Description
Jericho is a Holy Knight who plays a significant supporting role in the Seven Deadly Sins series, including the "Revival of The Commandments" season. Her background is rooted in the Kingdom of Liones, where she initially served as an apprentice Holy Knight of the Weird Fangs and was stationed at Baste Dungeon, the prison where the immortal sin Ban was held. She is originally from Benwick and is the younger sister of Gustaf, a fellow Holy Knight whose reputation she felt constantly overshadowed by in her youth. Driven by a desire to prove her own strength, she initially concealed her gender and presented as a male knight to be taken more seriously and avoid ridicule.

In terms of personality, Jericho is a complex character who undergoes substantial growth. Early on, she is portrayed as proud, serious, and even arrogant in her abilities, though this bravado masks a deep-seated insecurity and an inferiority complex, partly stemming from societal views on female knights and her brother's success. Her initial encounter with Ban results in a humiliating defeat, which fuels a bitter resentment toward him. However, this feeling eventually transforms into deep admiration and an unrequited romantic love for the immortal sinner, a devotion that becomes a core part of her character arc. Despite this love, she demonstrates emotional resilience, accepting that Ban's heart belongs to the fairy Elaine. As the story progresses, she matures into a more confident, compassionate, and loyal warrior who is dedicated to protecting her friends rather than simply seeking personal glory.

Jericho's role in the story, particularly during the "Revival of The Commandments" arc, places her directly in the path of the Ten Commandments. She becomes an ally to Ban and is present when Elaine is resurrected. A key demonstration of her loyalty and courage occurs when she single-handedly carries the severely injured Ban and Elaine through a forest while being pursued by the Commandments Galand and Melascula. She risks her own life multiple times to save them, deflecting massive boulders and diving for cover until they find refuge in a tavern run by Escanor, the Lion's Sin of Pride. Her key relationships are therefore heavily tied to the Sins. She shares a complex dynamic with Ban, moving from rivalry to deep loyalty. She also forms a bond with Elaine, whom she protects, and is in awe of Escanor after witnessing his immense power defeat two of the Commandments single-handedly. Her relationship with her brother Gustaf remains a significant part of her background, though his death deeply affects her and influences her later development.

Jericho's development is marked by key transformative events. Desperate for power, she once consumed demon blood, which caused a demon to emerge from her body and go on a rampage in Liones before Ban intervened and destroyed the creature, saving her life and reverting her to normal. This event caused her to lose the newfound powers she had gained. However, after the death of her brother Gustaf, she reawakens her abilities in a new form, centered around the use of ice magic, a power she inherited from her family's lineage. Her journey is one of moving past her insecurities and finding her own identity as a knight beyond the shadow of her brother or her feelings for Ban.

As a Holy Knight, Jericho possesses several notable abilities. Her physical capabilities are greatly enhanced, granting her superhuman strength, speed, and endurance. She is a highly skilled swordswoman, proficient in techniques such as the Godspeed Cross Slash, a series of immensely fast slashes. Her primary magical power is the manipulation of ice, which she can use to create freezing attacks, bolster her physical strikes, and control the battlefield. Her power level is rated at 270, with her strength (130) being her highest stat, followed by her spirit (100) and magic (40). After being reverted from her demon-enhanced state, she lost the temporary power boost it provided but was able to master her inherited ice abilities, making her a versatile fighter capable of both close-quarters and ranged combat.
