TV-Series
Description
Deldry is a Holy Knight and a member of the Pleiades of the Azure Sky, an elite order serving directly under Denzel Liones, the Assistant Great Holy Knight of the Kingdom of Liones. She plays a supporting role throughout the second major story arc of the series, which focuses on the revival of the Ten Commandments.
In terms of appearance, Deldry is a young woman of slender build, standing 170cm tall. She has bright green hair which she ties into a ponytail secured with a distinctive red headband shaped like bunny ears, and her eyes are a blue-green color. Unlike many Holy Knights who wear heavy armor, Deldry's battle attire is lighter and more distinctive, consisting of a purple metal-strapped shirt, a short skirt, black arm warmers with blue frills, a short red scarf, and armored pieces on her legs. She carries a staff with a heart-shaped design on its top into combat.
Deldry possesses a confident and playful personality, often showing no fear even when facing powerful opponents like the demon-possessed former Great Holy Knight Dreyfus. She is known for her sharp tongue and does not hesitate to speak her mind, frequently scolding her teammates Waillo and Arden for their behavior. While she enjoys using her abilities and can be somewhat provocative, she is also easily annoyed, particularly by Waillo’s persistent and often poorly-timed marriage proposals. Despite her teasing and argumentative nature, she is deeply loyal to her comrades and holds genuine affection for them, even if she has trouble expressing it.
Deldry’s primary motivation is her loyalty to her master, Denzel Liones, for whom she harbors deep respect. This loyalty extends to her fellow members of the Pleiades, creating a tight-knit unit that functions like a family. She is driven to protect her kingdom and avenge the wrongs done to her group, particularly after Denzel’s death.
Her role in the story is primarily as a supporting Holy Knight. She is first introduced participating in a mission to capture Fraudrin, a member of the Ten Commandments possessing Dreyfus’s body. Alongside her partners Arden and Waillo, she uses her unique magical ability to subdue the powerful demon. Throughout the subsequent arcs, she participates in the defense of Liones against the invading Ten Commandments, joins the fight against the Demon Clan army during the Holy War, and reacts to the political and supernatural shifts caused by the appearance of the Four Archangels of the Goddess Clan.
Deldry has significant relationships with her three main comrades in the Pleiades of the Azure Sky. Her dynamic with Arden is one of constant bickering, though it masks mutual affection and concern; she is visibly pleased when he worries about her after she is injured, and official materials note that she regrets being in love with him. With Waillo, she maintains a tolerant but often frustrated rapport, frequently rejecting his advances while still valuing him as a teammate. She is also a devoted subordinate to Denzel, respecting his leadership and mourning his death deeply. Her mistrust of Dreyfus and Hendrickson is profound, as she holds them responsible for the chaos caused by the demons they were possessed by.
Throughout the series, Deldry undergoes a subtle but noticeable development. After Denzel’s death, her resolve to fight the demons hardens. Her arc also explores the theme of manipulation and trust; after expressing her group’s distrust of the Goddess Clan, the Archangel Ludociel uses his power to magically manipulate the minds of the Pleiades, turning them into his loyal followers. This act of violation adds a layer of tragedy to her story as she loses her autonomy. In the epilogue, she and the remaining Pleiades accept Deathpierce’s decision to leave the Holy Knights to build a kingdom solely for humans, marking the end of their service to Liones.
Deldry’s most notable ability is her magical power called Love Drive. This ability allows her to inspire powerful feelings of love and loyalty in others through simple gestures of affection. The more intimate the gesture, such as a kiss, the stronger the effect. Her power is so potent that she can effectively take control of a target, compelling them to become fiercely protective of her and obey her commands, a tactic she used successfully to immobilize the demon Fraudrin. Her total power level is measured at 930, with the vast majority of that power being her Magic stat of 720, while her Strength is a mere 30 and her Spirit is 180. This extreme distribution highlights her complete reliance on her unique magical charm rather than physical combat.
