TV-Series
Description
Eichi Horimiya is an idol affiliated with Tsukino Talent Production and a member of the quartet unit QUELL. Physically, Eichi is a relatively tall young man with light brown, somewhat wavy hair and bright green eyes. The curl of his hair can be difficult to manage, especially on rainy days when it becomes unruly, leading him to express a wish for straighter hair like his fellow unit member Shu. His build is unassuming in clothing, but due to the physical demands of his previous job, he has a well-defined six-pack that often surprises people.

In terms of personality, Eichi is characterized as bright, cheerful, and gentle, with a slightly naive side. He is an extrovert who combines his natural friendliness with strong social skills and a deep consideration for others, allowing him to befriend almost anyone he meets. He consistently puts the well-being of those around him before his own and becomes easily flustered or shy when receiving direct attention or compliments from Shu. Eichi acts as a caring older brother figure within his group, especially towards the younger twin members, Issei and Ichiru, whom he frequently fusses over and looks after.

Eichi’s background is not in entertainment. He grew up in a standard working family with an older and a younger sister, as well as a pet dog named Chopi. He attended university, where he was a member of the dance club and learned basic sign language through volunteer work. After his studies, he worked as an assistant director for a television broadcast station. It was through this job that he met and befriended the actor Shu Izumi. During a work visit to the Tsukino Talent Production building, Eichi encountered Shu again, who was accompanied by the Kuga twins. After an impromptu dinner, Shu proposed that Eichi become the manager for his new unit. Eichi eventually accepted and quit his assistant director job to take on the role. His organizational skills from his previous career proved to be very effective. Later, it was the twins' suggestion that Eichi should become an idol himself due to his good looks and impressive dancing skills, a move Shu agreed with. This transition completed the formation of QUELL as a four-member idol unit.

The key relationships within Eichi's story are deeply tied to his fellow QUELL members. His bond with Shu Izumi is foundational; he greatly admires Shu, who in turn values Eichi's empathetic nature and ability to see things from a fan's perspective, a quality Shu considers rare in the industry. Eichi often cares for Shu by cooking him special dinners that are easy on the stomach after late work hours. With Issei Kuga, Eichi is particularly protective, mindful of the twin's more introverted nature and weaker physical condition. He spends a lot of time cooking and bonding in the kitchen with Issei and Ichiru. With Ichiru Kuga, Eichi often acts as a mediator, frequently having to calm the hot-headed twin down, especially when he argues with Tsubasa Okui from the unit SolidS. Eichi has noted the similarities between Ichiru and Tsubasa, particularly their shared difficulty in being honest about their feelings. He also maintains friendly interactions with other idols, such as going to buy cakes with Dai Murase after discovering his sweet tooth.

Throughout his development, Eichi transitions from a behind-the-scenes television assistant director to a unit manager, and finally to a performing idol. This path is driven by his desire to care for and support his friends, showing his adaptability and willingness to step outside his comfort zone for the sake of the group. His empathetic nature and grounded personality, shaped by his previous life outside the entertainment industry, provide a unique perspective within QUELL.

Eichi possesses a number of notable abilities and skills. He is a talented dancer, a holdover from his university days. His cooking is efficient and unorthodox, as he cuts vegetables with scissors and does not measure ingredients, allowing him to prepare meals very quickly. He is proficient with computers, having built his own, and enjoys activities such as camping, DIY projects, and stargazing. He also has a habit of taking many photos and videos of his unit members, particularly the twins, to the point where his phone frequently runs out of storage space.
