Description
Aimi Murazami is a supporting character in King's Game The Animation, serving as a classmate of the protagonist, Nobuaki Kanazawa, at Kure Academy. She is best known for her close friendship with another female student, Natsuko Honda.

Initially, Aimi is portrayed as a shy and introverted individual who tends to keep to herself. Her personality is defined by a quiet, reserved nature that has made her a target for bullying among her peers. Her background reveals a tragic and difficult past, which contributes to her deep-seated fear of death and her overall timid demeanor. Despite this initial weakness, she possesses a significant will to survive when placed under extreme pressure. Her primary motivation throughout the deadly game is rooted in her loyalty to her friends, particularly Natsuko, who once helped her break out of her shell and become more active.

In the story, Aimi plays a role that highlights the moral dilemmas of the King's Game. During the command requiring players to break their fingers, she initially hesitates to harm herself to save Natsuko. It is only after Natsuko reminds her of their past friendship that Aimi finds the resolve to comply. Her character is also defined by her growing respect for Nobuaki. Though she dislikes his aloof personality at the start, she becomes grateful for his efforts to save the class. This gratitude culminates in her most notable action: during an order that forces the participants farthest from a mountain to die, Aimi makes a selfless choice. Instead of allowing Nobuaki or another classmate named Riona to perish, she sacrifices herself by running backwards, ensuring her own death.

Key relationships define her arc. Her bond with Natsuko is the most significant, representing a mix of deep loyalty and a perceived weakness, as others view her as following Natsuko without question. Her view of Nobuaki evolves from suspicion and annoyance to genuine thankfulness. Aimi's development is a transformation from a helpless, fearful victim to a courageous individual capable of sacrificing her life for others. Her notable ability lies not in physical strength or intelligence, but in her capacity for self-sacrifice and her hidden resilience when facing certain death.
