Princess Takiri, also known as Takirihime, is a character in the anime Katana Maidens: Toji no Miko. She is one of three princesses, or goddesses, that came into being when the great aradama Tagitsuhime split apart after being driven from Yukari Origami during the event known as the Kamakura Special Hazardous Waste Leakage Issue. Of the three fragments, Takiri embodies the original entity's desire to dominate humans. She has white hair and orange eyes and wears a mask shaped like a human hand that covers her eyes, echoing the see-no-evil monkey motif. The mask normally seals her vision, though it does not interfere with her ability to fight.

Takiri wields the celebrated blade Mikazuki Munechika and, despite being an aradama, demonstrates abilities very similar to those of a Toji, including skilled use of an okatana in combat. In the story, she is held in confinement under strict security at a shrine built inside the Ministry of Defense in Ichigaya, where even Akane Origami is rarely granted permission to see her. When Kanami Etou and her friends are assigned to serve as part of Takiri's defense force against Princess Tagitsu, negotiations go poorly because Takiri regards humans as nothing more than inferior subjects to be ruled. She believes that incomplete beings such as humans would be happier being dominated, managed, and governed by a god, and she refuses Kanami's proposal that they spar so that humans and aradama can come to understand one another face to face.

Takiri's arrogance and rejection of dialogue begin to change when the pure aradama Nene, who had separated from Kaoru Mashiko, comes to visit her. Intrigued by an aradama free of defilement, Takiri reads Nene's memories and learns how Nene, once a rampaging monster, was spared by the Toji of her era and gradually lost her impurity through years of living alongside the Mashiko family. This experience, combined with crossing swords with Kanami in a duel, leads Takiri to understand something of the human heart. Shortly afterward, Tagitsuhime attacks her and absorbs her power. Before vanishing, Takiri addresses Kanami with a parting message, telling her that, just like the other name of her sword, she should cut through even lightning and fly fast, high, and far as a human being.

Her role in the story is that of one of the three competing fragments of the greater threat in the second half of the series. Her central motivation is to absorb the other two princesses, Ichikishimahime and Tagitsuhime, in order to recover the will of the original body and impose her rule upon the world. Her most significant relationship is with Kanami, who challenges her worldview and ultimately helps her recognize the strength of humanity. Her relationship with her sisters is one of rivalry, as the three fragments are driven to contend with one another, while her encounter with Nene serves as the emotional turning point that allows her to see humans in a new light. Takiri's development is thus a progression from haughty isolation to a measure of understanding, ending with her absorption by Tagitsuhime but leaving behind a genuine acknowledgment of the human spirit she once scorned.
