Description
Fixit is an Autobot Mini-Con from the Aligned continuity family, who served as the caretaker of the prison ship Alchemor. Before the ship crashed on Earth, Fixit was on Cybertron an avid sports fan with a particular fondness for gladiatorial combat, admiring a competitor named Groundpounder. He was assigned to the maximum-security Alchemor, which housed numerous Decepticon war criminals, and was stationed aboard the vessel as part of a complement of similar Mini-Cons. The ship was brought down by the villain Megatronus, and the crash caused Fixit significant damage. This trauma resulted in major gaps in his memory, an inability to access his built-in weapons systems, and a persistent verbal tic where he often jumbles his words or gets stuck in repetitive loops.

Personality-wise, Fixit is defined by his energetic and talkative nature, though years of isolation have left him with poor social skills and a degree of naivety. He is known to be a bit of a coward, lacking any real combat skills for much of the series, and frequently seeks cover when danger strikes. Despite these insecurities, Fixit is remarkably eager to help and genuinely wants to be useful to his team. He craves excitement and the chance to participate in field missions, feeling confined to his role behind the scenes even as he fears the dangers of active combat. His core motivation is service to his team, as shown when he defiantly declares, "I work for my team," while fighting against a Decepticon who had forcibly attached him as a limb.

In the story, Fixit acts as the resident engineer, medical assistant, and technician for Team Bumblebee. After the crash, he is found by Bumblebee and Strongarm and helps explain the situation regarding the escaped prisoners. The Autobots establish their base in a human scrapyard owned by Denny Clay, where Fixit spends most of his time maintaining and repairing Cybertronian technology, tracking Decepticon signals, and consulting the Alchemor's prisoner manifest to provide intelligence. His key relationships include a close friendship with the human boy Russell Clay, whom he often interacts with at the base. He also has a professional but sometimes squabbling partnership with Denny Clay, as they both work on repairs. He was friends with other Mini-Cons named Flowchart, Schematic, and Rundown. Within the Autobot team, he looks up to Bumblebee as a leader and often assists Sideswipe, Strongarm, and Grimlock from his command post.

Fixit undergoes significant development throughout the series, particularly regarding his own self-perception and hidden capabilities. Though he starts as a non-combatant, he has moments of surprising bravery, such as when he manages to fight back and punch the Decepticon Chop Shop while being used as an unwilling weapon. A major turning point occurs when Denny attempts to repair him and accidentally reactivates his dormant armament systems. In this state, Fixit, believing his companions to be intruders, displays overwhelming firepower and single-handedly subdues both the Autobot team and a rampaging Decepticon, showcasing that before his crash damage, he was a formidable guardian capable of controlling the prison ship's dangerous inmates on his own. This revelation recontextualizes his character, suggesting that his earlier cowardice and lack of combat ability were direct results of his injuries.

Fixit possesses a range of notable abilities, though many are hampered by his damaged state. His arms contain a multitude of tools, allowing him to transform into a larger repair omni-tool to fix just about any mechanical issue the team encounters. He provides mission control support, using his technical skills to track fugitives and operate the team's equipment, including a machine that accidentally caused personality swapping among the Autobots on one occasion. Prior to his memory loss and damage, Fixit had access to powerful built-in weapons systems that made him a highly effective security asset, capable of keeping the Alchemor's dangerous prisoners under control. In his damaged state, he retains his mechanical genius but is largely unaware of his own latent combat potential.
