Originating as an otherworldly entity dwelling in a void among similar beings, the Observer (or Beholder) grew weary of static existence. It created an opposing world defined by change and limitations. Desiring direct experience while ensuring this world's preservation, the entity first crafted artificial Earthenware People before forging the Orb destined to become Fushi. This act served the dual purpose of enabling its eventual entry and establishing a successor to maintain the world. The entity typically manifested as a pale, expressionless mannequin draped in a long black hooded cloak, rarely revealing itself visibly. Its core function was observing Fushi's development and interactions. Communication remained analytical and detached, prioritizing descriptive explanations over moral judgment. It valued experiential learning for Fushi, often withholding information to foster growth. Its primary goal focused on preparing Fushi for solitary conflict against the world-threatening entities known as Nokkers. It occasionally displayed visible satisfaction when Fushi demonstrated significant progress. The entity wielded extensive powers. It manipulated matter, altering tangible objects and living forms nearby without contact—transforming weapons into birds or incinerating Nokkers with hand-generated fire. It teleported vast distances instantly, stopped time at will, and could force Fushi into specific transformations for safety. Originally, it utilized Territory Domination, a network-based omnipresence sensing foreign entities by connecting to the ground and projecting consciousness into created bodies. This ability was permanently transferred to Fushi, severing the entity's connection to its network and original form. Centuries later, following Fushi's victory over the Nokkers, the entity chose rebirth as a human named Satoru, relinquishing direct interference. Reincarnated as a black-haired boy in the modern era, Satoru resided in an orphanage under the care of Sumika, who acted as an older sister. Though he enjoyed human experiences like food and bathing, Satoru retained the original entity's stoic demeanor and analytical rationality. Crucially, he maintained certain supernatural abilities, including time-freezing. In this human life, Satoru eventually regained memories of being the Observer. When microscopic Nokkers resurfaced, manipulating humans like Mizuha (Hayase's reincarnation), Satoru confronted Fushi. He offered Fushi omnipotence, revealing his initial motivation for creating the world stemmed from boredom and a desire to experience mortality within it. Entrusting Fushi with the world's guardianship, he relinquished his memories as the Observer.
