TV-Series
Description
Dr. Love, whose full name is Taklamakan Strange Love, is a scientist affiliated with the organization ēlDLIVE. Despite his youthful appearance as a teenage boy with messy blue hair, large blue eyes, black ear piercings, a neck tattoo, and painted black nails, he is an alien with an actual age of over 500 years. He typically wears a white lab coat and black accessories, though his physical form has not always looked this way; before his rejuvenation, he appeared as an elderly man with greyish skin, white hair, and thick facial hair. His body's youthful state is a result of a periodic process he undergoes called bodily reconstitution, which he performs whenever his current form reaches its limit.

In terms of personality, Dr. Love is exceptionally calm, serene, and rarely flustered, even in high-stress situations such as being wrongly arrested or targeted for abduction. He possesses a vast amount of knowledge on numerous topics and greatly enjoys sharing his explanations, regardless of whether anyone is listening. He is deeply passionate about scientific research, driven by an intense curiosity, and has a particular fondness for studying strange creatures and directly touching organs. This hands-on approach can sometimes lead him to act in ways that are blunt or insensitive to the feelings of others, though this is not depicted as being driven by perversion. He can be somewhat oblivious, which occasionally causes him to unknowingly provoke others, and he notably dislikes being hit for no reason, even if he later realizes an incident was his own fault.

Dr. Love is widely recognized as one of the greatest scientific minds in his universe, responsible for numerous inventions and research projects that have assisted ēlDLIVE and helped capture criminals. His reputation is so extreme that on different planets, he is either revered as a god or condemned as a demon. His most significant and controversial undertaking was the Taklamakan Project, a series of experiments intended to transplant an organ that generates SPH energy into a subject to correct their personality. The project had a very high fatality rate and produced subjects with fatal defects. Because of his immense value and the people who wish to exploit his brain, various governments have gone to great lengths to protect him, even using decoys and false information, as the scientist himself hates having bodyguards or meddlers.

In the story, Dr. Love's role is initially that of a person of interest. A mission is assigned to bring him safely to the space station, as four out of five of his body doubles have been killed. This mission becomes critical because he is the only one who can provide testimony to free the character Misuzu Sonokata, a survivor of his Taklamakan Project who suffers from a severe residual illness and memory loss. After being rescued by the protagonist, Chuuta Kokonose, and his partners, Dr. Love becomes a key technical ally and intellectual backbone for the team, staying at the Solar System Bureau to serve as their scientific support. He is instrumental in analyzing abilities, such as those of Chuuta and his symbiotic partner Dolugh, and in solving complex problems, once using an analogy about ninjas to help uncover a spy. He eventually integrates into the main cast's daily life by enrolling in their middle school under a false name, though he is not enthusiastic about this alias.

Dr. Love's key relationships are primarily defined by his scientific and supportive roles. He develops a close working relationship with Chuuta Kokonose and Dolugh, serving as their technical expert and researcher. His interactions with Misuzu are complex, as he is the creator of the project that caused her illness and also the creator of the medicine that keeps her alive. He demonstrates a high degree of tolerance and support for other young officers like Veronica Borowczyk and Chips. Over the course of the narrative, while his core personality remains composed and academically driven, his character development is shown through his integration with the team. He transitions from a mysterious, almost legendary fugitive scientist to a reliable and active participant in the daily lives and missions of the protagonists, using his genius not just for abstract research but to directly protect and assist his new colleagues.

Dr. Love's most notable abilities stem entirely from his unparalleled scientific genius. He is a master of biology, mechanical engineering, SPH energy theory, and symbiotic technology. He is capable of designing and building advanced technological solutions and is the creator of the controversial Taklamakan Project. His most personal application of his expertise is his ability to perform bodily reconstitution on himself, effectively resetting his physical age and allowing him to live for centuries. His knowledge across numerous fields makes him the team's primary source of exposition and strategic insight when facing scientific or supernatural phenomena.
