Devoid of royal elegance, he navigates politics with pragmatic ruthlessness, treating elves as exploitable assets to finance his faction. This stance drives him to breach the peace accord with the Great Canada Forest.

His quest for the throne hinges on alliances with the Holy East Revlon Empire, whose backing he cultivates to outmaneuver rivals. Collaborating with nobles like Marquis Tryton du Diento, he sanctions illegal elf enslavement in Diento, funneling profits into his faction. Operations include smuggling elves eastward and unleashing giant basilisks in Luvierte to sabotage political opponents. When Arc and Ariane dismantle Tryton’s slave network, seizing its assets, Dakares’ financial pipelines collapse, crippling his influence.

Sibling rivalries fuel his schemes. Viewing his half-sister Yuriarna’s elf-friendly diplomacy as a threat to his imperial alliance, he dispatches bandits to assassinate her during a mission—a plot foiled when Arc resurrects her. Simultaneously, his elder half-brother Sekt conspires to eliminate him, framing Dakares for Yuriarna’s murder and other crimes. Cetrion du Olsterio, Dakares’ confidant and secret agent of Sekt, lures him into a trap, stabbing him fatally and staging evidence to frame the prince for a coup.
