TV-Series
Description
Itsuka Kendo is a student in the Hero Course at U.A. High School, where she holds the position of Class 1-B's president. A native of Chiba Prefecture, she has sharp green or teal eyes and long orange hair styled into a distinctive high side ponytail, with a few clumps of bangs framing her face. Her hero costume consists of a light blue or teal qipao with yellow accents, worn over black sports shorts or spats. She pairs this with a black corset, a brown utility belt, and a thin black domino mask that covers the area around her eyes, though she has a winter version that adds long sleeves.

Kendo has a spirited and thoughtful personality, often described as having a big-sister-like demeanor. She is caring, level-headed, and possesses strong leadership qualities that help keep her class unified. Unlike some of her classmates who harbor open rivalry, Kendo holds no ill will toward Class 1-A and is friendly with them. She is practical and not afraid to voice her opinions, even when it means criticizing her own peers. Her sense of fairness and responsibility is a core part of her character, and she consistently prioritizes the well-being of others over personal glory.

Within the story, Kendo serves as a prominent representative of Class 1-B and a foil to the more chaotic elements within her own ranks, particularly Neito Monoma. Her most consistent role is as the voice of reason and discipline for her class. She frequently intervenes when Monoma taunts or antagonizes Class 1-A, often chopping him on the back of the neck to knock him unconscious and then dragging him away while apologizing for his behavior. During the U.A. Sports Festival, she demonstrated her integrity by forfeiting her team's spot in the final tournament, believing that Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu's team had earned the opportunity more than hers. Her internship provided an early lesson in the public relations side of hero work, as she and Momo Yaoyorozu were scouted by the Pro Hero Uwabami primarily for appearances in commercials.

Over the course of the series, Kendo shows notable development in her strategic thinking and combat confidence. During the Forest Training Camp arc, she displayed quick analytical skills and bravery. When the villain Mustard flooded the area with a poisonous gas, Kendo used her Quirk to protect her unconscious classmates and carry them to safety. She deduced the villain's location by observing the gas movement patterns and, alongside Tetsutetsu, confronted him. She cleverly used her enlarged hands to fan away the gas, neutralizing the villain's primary advantage and enabling her partner to land the finishing blow. In the Joint Training Battle against Class 1-A, she acted as the leader of her team, devising plans that utilized her teammates' unique Quirks and demonstrating a tactical mind by isolating Momo Yaoyorozu, her counterpart in Class 1-A, to force a close-quarters fight that her team won.

Key relationships define much of her role. Her dynamic with Neito Monoma is central; while they are on friendly terms and he supports her, she is the primary person who keeps his inferiority complex toward Class 1-A in check, often using physical reprimand. She respects and has a strong bond with Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, recognizing his straightforward determination. Her internship created a lasting connection with Momo Yaoyorozu, as they learned together about the less glamorous sides of heroism, and she sees Momo as a respected rival.

Kendo's Quirk is named Big Fist. This ability allows her to instantaneously enlarge her hands to gigantic proportions. The enlargement greatly increases her physical strength and destructive power proportional to the size of her fists. She can also use her enlarged hands to create powerful gusts of wind by fanning them, which is effective for clearing smoke, gas, or creating a defensive barrier. Her known Ultimate Move is Double Big Fist or Double Jumbo Fist, where she strikes with her normal hands and activates the enlargement at the moment of impact to maximize damage. Her official stats rate her intelligence at the highest level, and she combines her physical Quirk with sharp analytical skills and capable hand-to-hand combat technique.
