TV-Series
Description
Mina Aishido is a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School, training to become a professional hero. She is descended from a family that produced her distinctive Quirk, which also gives her an alien-like appearance: pink skin, short curly pink hair, two small pale yellow horns, and eyes with black sclera and yellow irises. She stands at a medium height with an athletic build, and her physique reflects her natural agility and energetic lifestyle.

Her personality is outgoing, bubbly, and highly sociable. She is one of the most approachable members of her class and often serves as an emotional anchor for her peers, boosting morale during difficult situations. She is expressive and wears her emotions openly, whether she is excited, nervous, or moved to tears. Despite a tendency toward poor academic performance, she is far from unintelligent in practical settings and demonstrates sharp situational awareness during battles. She has a strong sense of justice, which was evident even before entering U.A.

Her motivation to become a hero stems from an incident in middle school. While out with friends, she encountered the gigantic villain Gigantomachia. When her friends froze in fear, she stepped forward and tricked the villain into leaving by giving him false directions to a police station. The experience terrified her, and she broke down afterward, but it also solidified her resolve to become a hero who could protect others. This act of courage inspired her classmate Eijiro Kirishima to pursue his own heroic path.

Within the story, Aishido is a supporting character who appears in most major arcs. She participates in the U.A. Sports Festival, the forest training camp, the joint training battle, the Shie Hassaikai operation, and the Paranormal Liberation War. During the final war arc, she plays a direct role in the battle against Gigantomachia, where her acid proves powerful enough to damage the villain's armored skin. After graduating, she becomes a professional hero and is ranked as the number twenty-eighth hero in the public poll.

Her key relationships include a close bond with Kirishima, who credits her bravery in middle school as a turning point in his life. She also shares a friendly rapport with Denki Kaminari, with whom she frequently scores low on written exams, and with other members of Class 1-A such as Ochaco Uraraka, Katsuki Bakugo, and Minoru Mineta. She is respected for her ability to work with anyone on a team and for her encouraging attitude.

Over the course of the series, Aishido grows from a cheerful but emotionally reactive student into a more confident and capable fighter. She learns to control her Quirk with greater precision, particularly in adjusting the viscosity and solubility of her acid for different combat situations. During the final war, overusing her Quirk temporarily alters her appearance, but she recovers afterward, demonstrating the physical toll of her efforts and her willingness to push beyond her limits.

Her Quirk is called Acid, an Emitter-type ability that allows her to secrete a corrosive liquid from her skin. She has natural resistance to her own acid, though overuse can weaken this resistance. She can control two main properties of the liquid: its solubility, or how strongly it dissolves materials, and its viscosity, or how thick or thin it flows. This versatility allows her to fire acidic projectiles called Acid Shot, create a defensive barrier called Acid Veil, or cover her entire body in acid for protection with a technique called Acidman. She also uses the acid as a slippery surface to slide across the ground, making her highly mobile in close-quarters combat. Her fighting style incorporates her talent for break dancing, which enhances her agility, reflexes, and body control, making her one of the fastest and most evasive hand-to-hand fighters in her class.
