Description
Nagi Yaguru is a mysterious young woman from the anime Kagewani -II- (also known as Kagewani: Shou). She was born in the Yaguru clan village located in Yunnan Province, China, and is estimated to be around sixteen years old. Her entire family and everyone in her village were devoured by the original kagewani that dwells in a well when she was a child, an event that defines her entire existence. This tragedy instilled in her a deep hatred for the kagewani and a single-minded drive to hunt and annihilate them. She has been consistently hostile toward the Mei clan, which is responsible for creating the kagewani. Nagi dresses in a national costume and conceals weapons on her person, a reflection of her role as a dedicated assassin whose only purpose is to rid the world of these shadowy monsters. She carries a mysterious tuning fork, an item given to her for protection, which has the ability to drive kagewani away. In the story, she operates as a supporting character, crossing paths with the main protagonist Sousuke Banba and others as she pursues her vengeance. Her personality is defined by her relentless determination and cold focus on her mission, leaving little room for other desires. Her development largely remains static throughout the series, as she is a force of singular purpose, but her tragic past and unwavering commitment make her a compelling figure within the horror and suspense narrative.
