Description
Kazuichi Soda is a student of Class 77-B at Hope's Peak Academy, where he holds the title of the Ultimate Mechanic. His background is marked by economic hardship and personal struggle. His family's bicycle repair shop went bankrupt, leaving them in poverty, and his father, who struggled with alcohol addiction, would mistreat him. To protect himself from bullying and to appear tougher, he deliberately adopted a punk-inspired appearance, dyeing his hair bright pink and sharpening his teeth into a shark-like grin. This defensiveness stems from a deep-seated distrust born of past betrayals by those he considered friends. His exceptional mechanical skills earned him his place at the prestigious academy, which brought much-needed financial relief to his family.
In terms of personality, Kazuichi presents a stark contrast between his intimidating look and his true nature. He is highly emotional, jumpy, and fundamentally cowardly, often panicking or screaming in fear at minor incidents.
