Dillan acts as an ambassador, fostering diplomacy between human kingdoms and elven villages.

He is married to Glenys Alna Lalatoya, a skilled Dark Elf swordsman, and they have two adult daughters: Ariane Glenys Lalatoya and Eevin Glenys Maple. Dillan maintains a close, though sometimes exasperated, relationship with Ariane, frequently reminding her to control her short temper. During the Diento incident, Dillan leverages his authority to grant Arc entry into Lalatoya. He collaborates with Ariane to report the incident to the council of elders in Maple, defending her brutal execution of a human noble by citing the violation of a four-century-old treaty. When the council prioritizes locating missing elves, Dillan assigns Arc and Ariane the rescue mission. He later confirms Arc's formal acceptance as a resident of Lalatoya, granting him autonomy to operate without reporting to the village—a significant sign of trust.
