Description
Gigaga is one of the three main villains in the Kamiwaza Wanda anime, serving as a member of the antagonist group known as the Bug Bites. He is transformed from a toy wrestler into his villainous form by the series primary antagonist, Don Bugdez, making his debut alongside his fellow Bug Bites members Terara and Megaga in the second episode of the series. In his original state as a toy, Gigaga takes the form of a luchador-style wrestler wearing a green, red, and yellow mask, deep-blue pants, and black boots. As a member of the Bug Bites, he is the tallest of the trio, completely bald with silver eyes, and wears a blue suit. All three Bug Bites members share the distinctive feature of having red noses.
Gigaga is characterized as the muscular and physically strong member of the Bug Bites, a role he embraces as part of his identity within the group. The trio has a coordinated introduction where Gigaga announces himself as the strong man, highlighting pride in his physical capabilities. He consistently appears alongside Terara and Megaga in almost every episode, functioning as a unified team under Don Bugdez's command. Despite being villains, they are occasionally shown with more relatable desires, such as hoping to be invited to a Christmas party while spying on holiday festivities.
As a loyal subordinate to Don Bugdez, Gigaga follows orders to cause trouble and assist in the groups schemes, often by helping to spread chaos that the protagonist, Yuto, and his Promins must resolve. His role in the story is primarily as a recurring antagonist who, along with Terara and Megaga, provides opposition and comic relief throughout the original Kamiwaza Wanda anime season. Gigaga maintains relationships primarily within his villainous circle, serving Don Bugdez alongside his two constant companions. A glimpse into his past as a toy is provided in episode thirty eight, where he remembers being a toy wrestler who was once knocked over by a young boy playing with a toy superhero, suggesting a history of being handled roughly by children.
Following Don Bugdezs eventual extinction in episode forty seven, Gigaga, along with Terara and Megaga, is transformed back into his original toy wrestler form. In this restored state, he ends up in a box at the Hobby Kamiya store, indicating a return to his original purpose as a plaything. In terms of notable abilities, Gigaga is the physical powerhouse of the Bug Bites, relying on his considerable strength to carry out plans. He also demonstrates the typical villainous resilience of his group, frequently being sent flying or defeated but returning in subsequent episodes. According to information about the original anime season, his favorite food is mitarashi dango, which are sweet Japanese dumplings.
