Description
Ibelda is a male character from the world of Endra, recognizable by his multi-colored hair and his physical appearance that includes lion-like features. His role within the story is that of a formidable and dangerous antagonist, serving as a prominent member of the Truculent, a group of elite warriors operating directly under the command of King Delzaine.

In terms of personality, Ibelda is defined by his volatile and increasingly erratic nature. He possesses a hair-trigger temper, is quick to take offense even among his comrades, and harbors a deep-seated resentment toward authority. As his story progresses, he becomes a figure of pure chaos, motivated almost entirely by a love for battle and violence. He is described as a blood knight, someone who engages in combat for the sheer thrill of the fight rather than for money or loyalty, and he has a blatant disregard for orders, especially those that restrict him from killing. This defiance culminates in him fully rebelling against his king and turning on his fellow Truculent members, ultimately slaughtering all three of his companions.

In the narrative, Ibelda serves as a persistent physical threat and a primary enforcer for the king before his betrayal. His most pivotal action is the murder of King Delzaine. As Emilio confronts his adoptive father seeking revenge, Ibelda intervenes and kills the king, robbing Emilio of his long-sought vengeance and leaving the prince grief-stricken. After committing this act, Ibelda attempts to use the ancient structure known as Babel to reach the surface world. Instead of transporting him, the machine's energy engulfs him, and for a time, he is believed to have been vaporized.

However, Ibelda survives this ordeal, though he is horrifically transformed. The energies of Babel reconstruct him, leaving him with a monstrous new form, most notably a left arm that appears to be made of a living, melted black substance. This mutation grants him new and terrifying abilities. His transformed arm allows him to summon and control multiple spectral creatures to fight on his behalf, making him an even more dangerous adversary than before. He returns with an even greater thirst for blood, causing chaos throughout the kingdom in the wake of the king’s death.

His key relationships are defined by conflict. He is a treacherous subordinate to King Delzaine, a despised enemy to the protagonist Prince Emilio and the revolutionary group Ignauts, and a target of a deep personal vendetta from a warrior named Guidoro. Guidoro, who joins the Ignauts specifically on the condition that he be the one to ultimately kill Ibelda, has a history with him that drives him to relentless, single-minded pursuit.
