Description
Ben Azuki is a character from the Beyblade Burst anime and manga series. He serves as the captain of the Beasts, a team that competes in the National Championships. His personal Beyblade is named Beast Betromoth Heavy Hold.

Physically, Ben is recognized by his distinctive appearance, which includes tanned skin and pink eyes. His most notable feature is his hair, which is pink and styled into a purple mohawk with an orange bolt-shaped streak running through it. He is typically shown with a bandage positioned under his left eye and wears a black and red jacket over an orange hoodie, paired with purple shorts and black boots.

Ben's personality is heavily defined by an animalistic and wild spirit. True to his team's name, he embodies the essence of a beast, which is reflected in his unique communication style; he rarely speaks in full sentences and instead often responds with growls, roars, and other vocalizations. While this behavior might initially give the impression that he is aggressive or antisocial, Ben is genuinely good-hearted. As the captain, he is highly encouraging to his teammates, constantly pushing them to tap into their own inner strength and ferocity during battles. He does have a tendency to be somewhat impulsive, such as when he mistakenly assumed two teammates were arguing when they were simply engaging in friendly banter. In many ways, his driven and determined nature draws a parallel to the protagonist, Valt Aoi.

Ben's primary motivation and role in the story revolve around his leadership of the Beasts and his desire to grow as a blader. He takes his responsibilities as captain seriously, focusing on bringing out the best in his team. His journey includes participating in the National Championships, where his team faces off against the Beigoma Academy BeyClub. A key part of his personal development is learning from defeat; he is visibly upset after losing to Valt but channels that emotion into a request for a future rematch, showing a deep respect for strong opponents.

His most significant relationship is with his teammate Ken Midori. Ben personally invited Ken to join the Beasts and has since become a close friend and mentor figure to him. Ben’s encouragement is credited with helping Ken become more confident and assertive, and their bond is strong enough that Ben can sense Ken’s disappointment from afar. Ben also develops a mutual respect for Valt Aoi after their battle, recognizing their shared passion for Beyblading.

In terms of battling abilities, Ben wields an Attack Type Beyblade. His technique is defined by two primary special moves. The first is Beast Charge, an attack that allows Betromoth to increase its speed in the latter half of a battle, overwhelming opponents just as their own momentum begins to wane. The second is Beast Hold, a defensive maneuver where Betromoth spins in a wobbly, unpredictable manner to hold the center of the stadium and deflect incoming attacks, though this move carries the risk of losing stamina if the Beyblade begins scraping the stadium floor. Over the course of the series, Ben faces several key opponents. He loses to Valt Aoi during the national tournament semi-finals and is later defeated by his own teammate, Ken Midori, in the round of sixteen of the individual tournament.
