Description
Haroma Becker is introduced as a young woman taking the military examination for the Katjvarna Empire, where she finds herself on the same ship as the protagonist Ikta Solork and his childhood friend Yatorishino Igsem. Before the events of the story, she worked as a medic, a role defined by a desire to care for others rather than personal ambition. She is the eldest sibling in her family, with five younger brothers, and her primary motivation for joining the military is financial; she aims to send her wages back home to support them and has no personal desire to climb the ranks of the military hierarchy.

In terms of physical appearance, Haroma is a tall young woman standing at 170 centimeters, with long, waist-length light blue or lavender hair and matching blue eyes. She is considered to have a very nice figure and is regarded by Ikta as being very beautiful.

Haroma’s personality is generally friendly and kind, which suits her profession as a caretaker. However, she can be somewhat timid and clumsy, easily flustered and weak under pressure, particularly when subjected to the teasing of Ikta Solork. He often takes advantage of her inability to say no, making her the target of his playful advances and jokes, much to her embarrassment. Despite this, she remains a loyal and integral member of the group, fulfilling the essential role of keeping her companions healthy.

In the story, Haroma serves as the medic for the group that eventually becomes a unit of Imperial Knights. Her primary function is to tend to the wounds and illnesses of her comrades, such as Ikta, Yatorishino, Matthew Tetojirichi, and Torway Remion. She is an integral part of the team’s survival and operational capability, providing the necessary support that allows the more combat-oriented members to function. Her role is not typically on the front lines of battle, but her presence is critical in the harsh realities of war. Her rank progresses over the course of the conflict, rising from sergeant to second lieutenant and eventually to major as she continues her service.

Her key relationships center on her immediate comrades. She shares a particularly notable dynamic with Ikta Solork, who frequently teases her and makes comments about her figure, which she struggles to handle. This dynamic highlights a contrast where she is easily overwhelmed by others' personalities. She also maintains a close working relationship with Yatorishino Igsem, the stoic and serious swordswoman of the group. Her care is not limited by personality, as she treats all members of the unit with the same professional dedication.

The most significant aspect of Haroma Beckers development involves the eventual revelation of a hidden past and a dual identity. It is discovered that she is not merely a simple medic from a poor family. In truth, she is a sleeper agent and spy for the Kioka Republic, the enemy nation. Her backstory is that she and her family died from illness, but their deaths were not reported, allowing spies to steal the identity of the real Haroma Becker. She is a member of an elite phantom corps known as the Wraith Unit and is infamous as one of the worst phantoms or assassins.

This revelation is complicated further by the fact that her original personality, which is violent and murderous, is imprisoned within her mind. She is essentially a double personality who has created a kind alter ego to keep her inner nature suppressed. This inner, violent personality is named Patrencina. The gentle, clumsy medic that her companions know is not a full fabrication but a secondary personality that had been asleep while the spy used the main identity. Later in the story, after reading a certain letter from agents of Kioka, the deadly Patrencina personality awakens. Her development culminates in a confrontation where she attempts to divulge the Empire's strategies to support Kioka, only to fall into a trap set by the genius tactician Ikta, who reveals he knows her true identity. When she tries to kill him, he instead offers her forgiveness and acceptance, breaking the dam of her violent personality. Overcome with guilt for her actions and her betrayal, she attempts to commit suicide, but is stopped by Ikta, marking a profound turning point in her life. Physically, her notable ability is her medical expertise, which is her primary contribution in the field. However, her hidden abilities as an assassin and spy are equally formidable, representing a stark contrast to her visible persona. Her partner is a figure named Mir.
