Description
Born March 19, 2166, into Garmillas' aristocratic Desler family, Abelt Desler endured a traumatic youth witnessing his uncle Grand Duke Erik Vam Desler confront the planet's impending collapse and his brother Mathius' death in 2183. Mathius extracted a blood oath from the young Desler to secure a new homeworld, forging his destiny. At eighteen, Desler unified Garmillas after civil war erupted upon his uncle's death, founding the Greater Garmillan Empire in 2188 and declaring himself Eternal Supreme Leader. He abolished the aristocracy, transforming his uncle's guard into the Imperial Guard—a paramilitary force serving as secret police and intelligence operatives.

Driven by Garmillas' certain demise within a century, Desler pursued species survival through expansionist "Desler Doctrine" policies. This doctrine masked his true goal of finding a habitable planet behind a facade of spreading Iscandar's pacifist Iscandarism philosophy. His lifelong devotion to Iscandar's Queen Stasha, stemming from an early visit where he promised to adopt her mission of universal salvation, deeply influenced his diplomatic and military choices. Though authoritarian, Desler demonstrated pragmatism, offering integration to conquered races and personally saving individuals like the Zirel girls, appointing Miezela Celestella as Secretary of Propaganda, while tolerating Imperial Guard xenophobia.

During the Garmillas-Earth War (2191-2199), Desler commanded operations including Earth's bombardment. His fascination with Earth's Yamato led to tactical engagements like deploying the Desler Torpedo bio-weapon. Dethroned by Yamato, he briefly allied with the Gatlantis Empire before reconciling with Garmillas' new democracy, prioritizing species survival over personal power.

Post-2202, Desler discovered Galman, a planet identical to Garmillas and inhabited by biologically identical people—revealed as their species' ancestral homeworld. He overthrew the Bolar Federation's oppression of Galman and initiated population transfer from dying Garmillas, cooperating with Prime Minister Redof Hiss. When an unknown force destroyed Garmillas during evacuation and warped Iscandar away, Desler mobilized his fleet, including the carrier *Deusuler III* and loyal officers like Lieutenant General Ghader Talan and dimensional submarine commander Wolf Frakken, to protect refugees and rescue Iscandar.

Allied temporarily with Yamato against the Dezariam aliens, Desler learned from Queen Stasha that Iscandar historically preserved civilizations by annihilating them and storing memories in crystals—including transplanting Galman's people to Garmillas under false worship. Though this revelation shattered his ideals, Desler prioritized Stasha's safety during the Dezariam assault, engaging their forces directly so Yamato could plant explosives in their mothership. After Stasha destroyed Iscandar to thwart Dezariam exploitation and bid him farewell, Desler accepted the loss with dignity. He led the surviving refugees to Galman, establishing the new nation of Galman-Garmillas as its head of state.
