Commander Daeder leads the flagship Pleiades as a secondary antagonist, motivated solely by vengeance against the Garmillas fleet. Their assault on his homeworld’s mining operations within the Black Nebula resulted in the planet’s annihilation. Daeder pursues the Garmillas relentlessly, trapping them near Iscandar’s seas. When confronting Earth’s Yamato, he maneuvers the Pleiades between the Yamato and Iscandar to deter deployment of the Wave Motion Gun. The flagship’s destruction occurs unexpectedly as Iscandar destabilizes due to core instability, causing the planet to warp away.

In the 2021-2022 remake continuity, Daeder commands the Great Pleiades.
