Description
Kinu Furisato is a supporting character in the anime and manga series Twin Star Exorcists. She is a small, elderly woman with short, black hair cut in a bob style, dark eyes, and an appearance that suggests an advanced age. Her primary role within the story is that of the caretaker and guardian for the young exorcist Benio Adashino, having raised her in the years following the death of Benio's parents.

Kinu's personality is defined by a fierce and overprotective nature toward Benio. She is deeply concerned with Benio's well-being and safety, often going to great lengths to ensure she is protected from any perceived threat, whether physical or social. This protectiveness extends into comedic territory when she interacts with the series' protagonist, Rokuro Enmado. After an incident where Rokuro accidentally saw Benio in a state of undress, Kinu develops a strong dislike for him, persistently calling him ero boy, which translates to perverted boy. She frequently tries to keep him away from Benio, though her actions in this regard are largely for comic relief. Despite her outward hostility, she harbors a degree of trust in Rokuro and privately acknowledges that she wants him to be there for Benio.

In her role as a mentor and guardian, Kinu is shown to be practical and has a low opinion of other exorcists, once describing the Seika Dormitory as being full of useless exorcists who are not on Benio's level. She is also a source of information about Benio's tragic past, notably revealing details about Benio's twin brother who died in a catastrophic event known as the Hiinatsuki Tragedy. This moment in the narrative establishes Kinu as a key figure who connects Benio's present motivations to her past trauma. She is formally introduced in the story when she accompanies Benio from Kyoto to Tokyo, and she is seen at the Seika Dormitory where much of the early plot unfolds.

Kinu appears in various episodes and chapters of the series, participating in key story arcs and interacting with the main cast. While her abilities as an exorcist are not the central focus of her character, her background as the caretaker of a powerful exorcist like Benio implies a competence and knowledge of the exorcist world. Her primary function in the narrative is that of a protective maternal figure, providing a link to Benio's history and a source of both comic conflict and genuine support for the younger characters.
