Description
Alexander Asimov is a Russian member of the Annex I project, appearing in the anime Terraformars Revenge. He is 28 years old, stands 180 centimeters tall, and weighs 89 kilograms. A tall man with a bald head, he has a noticeable scar running across one of his eyes, which he typically conceals behind a pair of sunglasses. His birth date is January 26, making him an Aquarius, and his blood type is O.

Alexander's background is marked by significant tragedy. He lost both of his parents to a terrorist attack at a very young age, followed by his grandmother when he was only four years old. Subsequently, he was raised in an orphanage, an experience that was apparently difficult. After finishing his schooling, he immediately joined the army. His life took a pivotal turn when he fell in love at first sight with Gina S. Asimov, the daughter of the influential Sylvester Asimov, and asked her to marry him. He made persistent efforts to gain Sylvester's favor, even enduring repeated physical beatings from him. Eventually, due to his family's influence, Sylvester accepted him into the family and came to treat him like a son. For the Annex I mission, he signed up under the alias Alexander to avoid confusion with another crew member who shared the same given name, Aleksandr.

In terms of personality, Alexander is characterized as being laid-back, yet he possesses an extremely strong sense of loyalty to both his cause and his comrades. His primary driving motivation is his profound love for his family. When his wife became infected with the deadly A.E. virus that plagues Earth, he joined the Annex Project with the specific goal of finding a cure to save her and their unborn child. His dedication to this mission was absolute, and he demonstrated a willingness to die while fighting to ensure a vaccine could be developed in Russia for the sake of his family. He is also portrayed as being quite intelligent and resourceful, notably able to predict an enemy's strategy and lay a trap to deliver a weapon to a comrade.

Within the story's Annex I arc, Alexander plays a significant role during the violent confrontations between the Russian and Chinese forces on Mars. His most notable abilities are derived from his M.O. Operation, which is based on the Sumatra stag beetle, specifically the Dorcus titanus titanus. This surgical procedure grants him a considerable boost in both physical strength and durability when transformed. He is an exceptional hand-to-hand fighter, capable of defeating multiple opponents even after sustaining a grievous injury such as the loss of an arm. He is also proficient in creating traps and wields a personal weapon known as the Kavkaz Kalinka, a Spetsnaz ballistic jaw knife.

His key relationship is with his father-in-law, Sylvester Asimov, under whose tutelage he served, and his beloved wife, Gina S. Asimov. Alexander's character development is tragically cut short during the mission. In a fierce battle, he loses an arm to a powerful Terraformar. Despite this, he launches a one-man assault against an opposing team. However, in the final moments of a confrontation with the enemy leader, Hong, he hesitates to deliver a killing blow. This moment of hesitation leaves him vulnerable, and he is subsequently attacked by other enemy combatants. To continue fighting, he overdoses on the drug that regulates his transformation, ultimately leading to his death as he is begged by Hong to spare another foe.
