Megaman.EXE is the NetNavi, or Net Navigator, belonging to Lan Hikari and shares the role of the protagonist with him in the anime MegaMan NT Warrior. He was created by Dr. Hikari and given to Lan as a present. Despite his small stature, he displays remarkable skill in battle from the very beginning, easily holding his own against larger and more powerful opponents. He is steadfast, loyal to his friends, and driven by a strong sense of justice, fighting to protect both the real world and the cyber world from various threats. He forms deep bonds with Lan and other NetNavis, particularly Roll, and quickly establishes a heated rivalry with Chaud's Navi, ProtoMan. Over the course of the series, he and Lan build a powerful partnership, eventually developing the rare ability of Full-Synchro, a state where the operator and Navi's minds merge for quicker reactions. He gains a variety of new powers and transformations to adapt to growing threats, including Style Change, which allows him to take on different elemental forms; Program Advance, the combination of three Battle Chips into one devastating attack; and Double Soul, which enables him to combine with another Navi to gain their abilities. He also achieves Cross Fusion with Lan, allowing Lan to fight in the real world with Megaman's powers. His journey takes him from battling the criminal organization World Three to facing stronger enemies such as the Net Mafia Grave, the powerful rogue Navi Bass, and the otherworldly Darkloids. Through these battles, he experiences defeat, deletion, and revival, growing stronger each time and proving himself a key defender of the world against net crime.
