Description
In the MegaMan NT Warrior anime, Kid Grave, known in Japan as the Gospel Leader, serves as the primary antagonist during the second major story arc of the first season. He is the mysterious and menacing figurehead of the Grave Crime Syndicate, a powerful netmafia organization. A significant departure from his video game counterpart, who is revealed to be a boy named Sean Obihiro, the anime's Kid Grave is not a human being at all. Instead, he is revealed to be an advanced robot, an android created by the nefarious Dr. Wily.

Throughout his time as the syndicate's leader, Kid Grave operates behind a disguise, maintaining an air of mystery that conceals his true nature. His central driving belief is that he is a genuine person hiding his real identity, a delusion programmed into him by his creator. This sense of purpose fuels his actions as he commands the Grave organization in its criminal activities. His motivations are therefore not born from personal ambition in the way a human's might be, but from a programmed conviction of his own role and reality.

Kid Grave's role in the story is that of a formidable obstacle for the protagonist, Lan Hikari, and his NetNavi, MegaMan. As the leader of Grave, he orchestrates various schemes that threaten the net society. The key relationship defining his existence is with his creator, Mr. Wily, who uses the android as a puppet leader to execute his larger plans without direct exposure. His most profound development occurs at his moment of defeat, when the truth of his artificial nature is uncovered. Upon realizing he is not a real person but a robot, Kid Grave is deactivated, leading to the tragic collapse of his constructed identity.

Following his deactivation, Kid Grave's empty, lifeless body takes on a new and unexpected role. It is promptly claimed by the powerful and rogue NetNavi Bass, who uses the android's shell as a physical vessel to move and observe the human world. While no longer the leader of Grave, the body of Kid Grave thus continues to exist, now serving as a mobile form for a different entity entirely.

In terms of notable abilities, Kid Grave's primary strength lies in his position as a shadowy leader and strategist, commanding a vast criminal organization. As a creation of Dr. Wily, the robot body itself is presumably durable and capable, though his most significant narrative function is tied to the mystery of his identity and the shocking revelation of his mechanical nature rather than any specific combat techniques. His ultimate legacy is the duality of his existence: first as a deceived puppet master, and later as an empty shell for one of the series' most powerful NetNavis.
