Description
Maddy, known in Japan as Madoi Iroaya, is a character from the MegaMan NT Warrior anime series. She is a member of the criminal organization World Three, serving alongside Mr. Match, Count Zap, and Yahoot. Maddy operates the NetNavi WackoMan.EXE and initially appears as an antagonist to the main characters Lan Hikari and MegaMan.EXE.
Maddy is a twenty-three-year-old woman who is highly vain and preoccupied with her appearance, particularly her makeup and fashion. She dislikes being called old and often behaves in a seductive and flirty manner toward the men she encounters, such as taking an immediate liking to Charlie Airstar. Despite her vanity, she is loyal to her friends within World Three, though she is not above switching sides if a better opportunity arises. For instance, she briefly joins the organization Grave as a secretary for Gauss Magnus, but leaves after discovering his cross-dressing, ultimately returning to her former allies.
As a World Three agent, Maddy's role is to carry out schemes that cause chaos in DenTech City. She uses WackoMan to create traffic jams, contaminate the water supply by blackmailing Tory Froid and his father, and participates in the N1 Grand Prix tournament where she rigs the lottery to re-enter after an early defeat. She often employs underhanded tactics, such as using a rigged Battle Chip to turn Roll against MegaMan during a tag-team match.
Over the course of the series, Maddy undergoes significant development. After World Three disbands, she and Count Zap open a curry shop called #1 Curry to make a living. She later aids Lan and his friends against the criminal group Grave, and eventually reforms entirely, becoming a friend and ally to Lan, MegaMan, and their circle. She forms an unlikely friendship with Rin Manabe, the superintendent of the NetPolice, and Haruka Hikari, Lan's mother, spending time with them in later seasons.
In terms of abilities, Maddy is a capable Net Operator, using her wiles and cunning to devise plans and manipulate others.
