Description
Miyuki Kuroi, also known as Miyu, is a quiet and mysterious young woman who owns an antique shop in DenTech City. She is secretly a Net Agent working under the alias Mysteriyu, alongside her fellow agents Sal and Maysa. Miyuki is the operator of SkullMan.EXE, a NetNavi whose appearance and demeanor match her own enigmatic nature. In her daily life, she offers fortune‑telling services to customers, using a crystal ball to make predictions that are often correct but sometimes ambiguous or inaccurate. Her personality is cold, reserved, and introverted, standing in contrast to the more energetic members of her circle. She rarely shows emotion and speaks in a cryptic manner, which leads others to perceive her as strange.
Miyuki’s primary motivation is her duty as a Net Agent to combat cybercrime. She mentors Lan Hikari alongside Sal and Maysa, providing guidance and occasional direct assistance against threats such as the World Three. In the N1 Grand Prix tournament, she enters as a competitor and faces Lan in battle. Using her predictive abilities, she anticipates every move Lan and MegaMan make, but she forfeits the match intentionally after Lan finds a way to counter her foresight; it is later revealed that she would have won had she continued. During the second half of the first season, her personality undergoes subtle changes. Her predictions become less reliable, and she participates in a dancing and singing contest, showing a more lighthearted side. She also joins the final battle against the organization Grave, using SkullMan to fight alongside her fellow Net Agents.
Miyuki’s key relationships include her close friendship with Sal and Maysa, with whom she works as a team. She also interacts with Lan, Maylu, and other main characters, though she remains somewhat distant. Her notable abilities include precognition through her crystal ball, which allows her to foresee events and read the flow of battle, and her skilled operation of SkullMan.EXE, a NetNavi equipped with ghostly and bone‑themed attacks. While her fortune‑telling is not infallible, it often gives her an edge in combat. Throughout the series, she remains an enigmatic figure whose quiet presence and hidden role as a Net Agent contribute to the story’s support network for the protagonists.
