TV-Series
Description
Mana is a young girl with short brown hair and red eyes who appears as a supporting character in the Miss Monochrome series. She was originally taken in by Miss Monochrome after being abandoned under a bridge, and during this early period she was described as a pure and innocent child who diligently cared for Miss Monochrome in their castle. She agreed to become Miss Monochrome's manager, but after Miss Monochrome entrusted her with a large sum of money totaling 19.3 billion yen, Mana ran away with the funds and abandoned Miss Monochrome entirely. Following this betrayal, she became the manager of Kikuko, the very idol that Miss Monochrome admired and sought to emulate. This action sets her up as a figure of betrayal within the story, though she faces no direct consequences for her actions within the narrative. Her motivations appear to be self-serving and opportunistic, as she switches her allegiance to a more established idol once she gains access to resources. Despite her small stature and youthful appearance, her role is pivotal in initiating the main plot by leaving Miss Monochrome homeless and without funds, thus forcing the android to seek employment and a new manager. Her key relationship is with Miss Monochrome, whom she initially serves before betraying, and with Kikuko, whom she later manages. She does not display any notable supernatural or combat abilities, and her development remains static throughout the series; she does not undergo a redemption arc or return to Miss Monochrome. Her character functions primarily as an early catalyst for the story rather than as a figure of growth or change.
