TV-Series
Description
Q-vier is a supporting antagonist in Valvrave the Liberator. He is a special agent of the Dorssian Military Pact Federation and a graduate of the Karlstein Institute, an institution that produces elite soldiers. At fourteen years old, he is the youngest member of the special operations unit that also includes L-elf, A-Drei, H-Neun, and X-Eins, and his youthful, innocent appearance contrasts sharply with his conduct. His code name, Q-vier, means Q4 in German, and he is referred to exclusively by this designation. He is short for his age and has red hair and purple eyes.

Q-vier's personality is defined by a carefree and playful exterior that masks a dangerous and cruel nature. He regards war as a form of entertainment, treats battles as enjoyable games, and kills for the fun of it. He tends to act before thinking, enjoys pranks, and can seem boyishly mischievous, as when he teasingly calls A-Drei "prince." At the same time, he does not hesitate to hurt or kill and cares little for the lives of enemies, allies, or innocent people caught in the fighting. Within his squad he stands out as the most trigger-happy member, always eager to engage the enemy. His motivation is not ideological; he fights because combat amuses him and gives him satisfaction.

Q-vier's abilities come from his elite training at the Karlstein Institute. Despite his age, he is a highly capable soldier, knowledgeable in the use of a wide variety of weapons and familiar with dozens of methods of killing. He is regarded as an elite operative and an enthusiastic and aggressive combatant on the battlefield.

In the story, Q-vier functions as an enemy operative placed in opposition to the protagonists. He takes part in Dorssia's infiltration mission into JIOR's Module 77 alongside L-elf, A-Drei, H-Neun, and X-Eins, and he continues to appear as a recurring supporting antagonist over the course of the series, taking part in the escalating conflict surrounding the Valvrave units.

His key relationships are with his fellow agents. He works closely with A-Drei, whom he affectionately teases by calling him "prince," and he shares squad loyalty with L-elf, H-Neun, and X-Eins. His playful bond with his comrades coexists with his indifference toward the suffering of people outside that circle.

Q-vier undergoes little personal change across the series. He is portrayed consistently as a cheerful, battle-loving soldier whose cruelty is framed as an extension of his childishness, approaching war the way a child approaches a game. His development is tied to his shifting situation as Dorssia's operations evolve rather than to any transformation in his values or personality.
