Description
Mizuki Misawa is a nineteen-year-old idol and the leader of the fictional group Mineral Miracle Muse, also known as MMM. She hails from the Kansai region of Japan and stands at 156 centimeters tall. Within the idol group, she is the oldest member and takes her responsibilities seriously, acting as a reliable and caring figure who works hard to keep the group cohesive and professionally managed.
Her personality is characterized by a calm, level-headed nature that contrasts with the more impulsive behavior of her fellow idol Mari Maya. Mizuki is nurturing and supportive, often serving as the voice of reason within the trio. She approaches both her idol career and the team’s extracurricular activities with a professional attitude, viewing their vigilante work as an extension of their brand image. Although she is initially cautious and prefers to avoid unnecessary conflict, she demonstrates a strong sense of loyalty and dedication to her friends.
Mizuki’s motivations stem from her commitment to her group and her desire to support Mari Maya’s ambitions. When Mari decides to become the vigilante Flamenco Girl, Mizuki initially harbors doubts and concerns about Mari’s increasingly independent and aggressive behavior. However, she eventually joins Mari and their younger teammate Moe Morita to form the Flamenco Girls, adopting the alias Flamenco Sapphire. In this role, she fights alongside the others using a magical-girl-inspired style, though she remains more measured and tactical than Mari. Mizuki often coordinates with police officer Hidenori Gotou during crises, acting as a bridge between the idol-hero team and law enforcement.
Throughout the story, Mizuki undergoes notable personal growth. While she begins as a dependable but secondary figure focused on supporting Mari, she gradually develops her own sense of agency. As the stakes escalate from street-level crime to supernatural threats, Mizuki is forced to confront what kind of hero she wants to be. She moves from simply following Mari’s lead to making independent decisions, demonstrating increased confidence and resilience when the lives of her friends are at risk.
Her key relationships include a close friendship with Mari Maya, whom she both supports and tries to temper; a sisterly bond with the quieter Moe Morita; and a cooperative partnership with Hidenori Gotou, who respects her level-headedness. She also interacts with Masayoshi Hazama, the main vigilante Samurai Flamenco, but her primary allegiance is to her fellow Flamenco Girls.
In terms of notable abilities, Mizuki is a skilled idol performer, capable of singing and dancing as part of Mineral Miracle Muse. As Flamenco Sapphire, she wields a high-tech magical-girl-style weapon, though her greatest strengths are her organizational skills, her ability to remain calm under pressure, and her talent for keeping a volatile team focused and united.
