TV-Series
Description
Jun Harazuka is a middle-aged man of forty-eight who works in the development department for a major office supply corporation called Monsters Stationery. His outward appearance is that of a typical company employee, often seen in a suit and tie, with short gray hair that reaches his ears and dark eyes behind his glasses. Despite his ordinary corporate job, Harazuka harbors a deep fascination with heroes, revealing a personality that is both quirky and deeply inspired by the ideal of fighting evil. This passion drives him to become an unofficial support specialist for Masayoshi Hazama, the aspiring hero known as Samurai Flamenco. Harazuka secretly provides Masayoshi with a unique arsenal of gadgets, all cleverly modified from everyday office supplies. His inventions include stapler nunchaku, projectile erasers, a samurai tape measure, and wall-climbing oven mitts. His role in the story is that of a loyal ally and inventor, acting as a behind-the-scenes Q-like figure who enables Masayoshi’s heroics. He is motivated by a sincere desire to see the fruits of his mundane labor used for a noble cause, finding purpose in equipping a real hero. His most significant relationship is with Masayoshi Hazama, whom he aids without question as the hero's primary gadgeteer. Over the course of the series, his character remains a steady and amusing source of practical support, embodying the show's theme of finding extraordinary potential in ordinary life. His notable abilities lie not in physical combat, but in his creativity, engineering skills, and the legal loophole that allows his modified office supplies to be used as weapons.
