Description
Yurine Hanazono is a Cultural Anthropology student whose dark magic experiment accidentally summoned the demon Jashin-chan. Unable to reverse the spell, she now cohabits with the demon, who persistently tries to kill her to return to Hell. Yurine retaliates against these attempts or other transgressions with severe physical punishment, employing a deadly array of weapons like a machete, chainsaw, taser, trident, and oversized scissors, frequently dismembering or shredding Jashin-chan. Her family runs the Hanazono Shrine in Shinjuku and has ties to black market organ trafficking.

Despite her brutal treatment of Jashin-chan, Yurine maintains a composed demeanor, acting as a voice of reason and offering sarcastic commentary on supernatural occurrences. She exhibits kindness towards others, such as providing food and shelter to the starving fallen angel Pekola, defending angels Poporon and Pino from Jashin-chan's harassment, and protecting the young ice demon Koji. She maintains positive relationships with Jashin-chan's friends Medusa and Minos and shows respect to higher-ranking entities like Persephone II.

Her capabilities include superhuman strength, enabling her to throw objects at supersonic speeds and crush demons with single punches; enhanced durability to withstand attacks; and heightened speed for effortless dodging. She possesses limited black magic proficiency, mainly for summoning and creating protective barriers linked to her shrine maiden heritage. An anti-petrification bracelet grants immunity to Medusa's gaze.

She favors gothic Lolita fashion, wears an eyepatch despite having functional eyes, and harbors the delusion of being "Zabiel the Black, Preacher of Evil." She enjoys horror movies and devising torture methods but fears cockroaches. Her age remains fixed at 19 due to the series' comedic logic.
