Description
Cherise Blossom, known as Nozaki Sakura in the original Japanese version, is a character from the anime Inazuma Eleven GO Galaxy. She is a young student who originally attended Mary Times Institute, where she was an active and accomplished member of the rhythmic gymnastics club, having even won a gold medal. Her uniform number is 7, and her primary position on the field is that of a midfielder (MF).

In terms of appearance, Cherise has light pink hair that is tied up in a manner resembling cherry blossom petals, complete with a small braid, and she has blue eyes. Her physique is slender and notably flexible, a direct result of her extensive gymnastics training.

Her personality is initially layered and somewhat contradictory. On the surface, she presents herself as a lively, hardworking, and diligent individual who is not afraid to put in extra effort. For instance, on a day off, she was one of the few players to show up for additional training. However, beneath this cheerful exterior lies a more competitive and selfish side. Her former rhythmic gymnastics teammates described her as a bad person, and she was known to wear a malicious expression to achieve her goals. This "false personality" manifested in a strong desire to be the center of attention and the number one in everything, often leading her to steal the ball from her own teammates to make herself look good, showing a distinct lack of trust in others.

This behavior is deeply rooted in her background and motivations. Cherise initially joins Inazuma Japan not out of a love for soccer, but as a means to secure a study abroad opportunity, which she believes will allow her to join the world's best rhythmic gymnastics team. Her primary motivation is to live up to the extremely high and strict expectations of her parents, who have trained her from a young age to be the best in the world and who cannot tolerate her coming in second place. Her personal goal, therefore, is not team victory but personal glory to satisfy her parents.

Throughout the story, Cherise plays the role of a novice soccer player who must learn the fundamentals of the sport from scratch alongside several other inexperienced recruits. Her role in the team evolves as she confronts her own flaws. A key turning point occurs during a match against the team Big Waves from Australia. Her selfish playstyle, aimed at impressing her parents who are watching, causes friction with her teammates and worsens her relationship with her friend, Trina Verdure. However, by the end of this match, she learns the value of teamwork, successfully passing the ball to a teammate to score a goal, which finally impresses her father. This event leads to a significant development in her character, as she reconciles with her parents and abandons her selfish persona to become a more cooperative and kind player.

Her key relationships are central to her development. She has a close but initially strained friendship with fellow teammate Trina Verdure, which suffers due to Cherise's selfish actions. She also has a notable relationship with Falco Flashman; she initially refuses to pass him the ball, but later learns to trust him, just like the rest of the team. Her interactions with veteran players Arion Sherwind, Riccardo Di Rigo, and Victor Blade help her understand the true spirit of soccer.

Notable abilities stem directly from her background as a rhythmic gymnast. She possesses incredible flexibility and body control, which she uses to perform unique moves on the soccer field. This allows her to lift the ball high with her legs and confuse opponents while dribbling. Her lack of soccer fundamentals is gradually supplemented by these unique physical skills, as seen when she tries and fails to be a goalkeeper but uses her gymnastic training to make the attempt. In the video games, her personal struggle is visualized when she faces a shadow version of her younger self, who torments her until she confronts her past and awakens her true potential.
