TV Special
Description
Cabira is a minor antagonist and a warrior who serves under the tyrannical alien lord Chilled. His sole appearance is in the anime special Dragon Ball: Episode of Bardock.
As a soldier in Chilled's army, Cabira follows orders without question, acting as part of a force sent to conquer planets for his master. His background is simple: he exists far in the past and is dispatched on a subjugation mission alongside his comrade, Toobi. The pair are ordered to attack the planet known as Planet Plant.
Cabira's personality is not explored in depth due to his brief role in the story. He behaves as a typical subordinate of a tyrannical overlord, carrying out his mission to conquer and showing little regard for the native inhabitants of the planets he invades. His primary motivation is to fulfill his orders from Chilled and assist in the subjugation of Planet Plant.
In the narrative of Episode of Bardock, Cabira and Toobi land on Planet Plant and declare their intention to seize control of the world. However, the Saiyan warrior Bardock, who has been mysteriously thrust into the past, is present on the planet. Cabira confronts Bardock, but the encounter is extremely brief. The soldier is swiftly and effortlessly killed by Bardock. The method of his death differs between the manga and the anime adaptation. In the manga version, Bardock kills Cabira with a roundhouse kick to the face. In the anime adaptation, the killing blow is a single, powerful punch to the stomach. After Cabira is defeated, his partner Toobi is killed by Bardock shortly afterward.
Cabira has no significant relationships beyond his affiliation with his superior, Chilled, and his partnership with his fellow soldier, Toobi. He does not undergo any development as a character due to his extremely limited screen time and immediate death. He serves solely as an obstacle for Bardock to easily overcome, demonstrating the power gap between a typical soldier of that era and a seasoned low-class Saiyan warrior like Bardock.
Regarding notable abilities, Cabira has shown the capacity to fight using ki, as he can use the technique Flight. In the video game Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle, he is depicted using an attack called Beam Strike as his Super Attack. In the anime version of Episode of Bardock, he also uses an Arm Cannon, a weapon that functions as a beam attack blaster. In terms of appearance, the manga version of the character has gills on his shoulders and legs, while the anime adaptation gives him a more reptile-like look.
