Her intellectual prowess and disregard for social conventions complicate friendships, though she cherishes the rare bonds she forms.

Previously a recluse dependent on digital communication, her life shifts after befriending Hinako Shirai, the protagonist of the original game, who coaxes her into the physical world. During this phase, she obtains a Reflector ring and offers tactical combat support against supernatural threats, leveraging her hacking expertise and strategic analysis.

Later, she emerges as a neutral AASA-affiliated observer, abstaining from direct conflict between Reflectors while dispensing cryptic advice—such as distributing rings with obscure functions. One gifted to Miyako Shirakaba enables action during frozen time, though its broader purpose stays veiled.
