Description
Lady Tokimi is one of the three omnidimensional sister goddesses known collectively as the Choushin, alongside Tsunami and Washu. For countless millennia, the three sisters debated a single question: whether a being more powerful than themselves could be created. While Tsunami and Washu ventured out into lower dimensions to seek an answer, Tokimi remained in the Choushin’s home dimension. To pursue her own line of inquiry, she manipulated random subspace fields with the help of dimensional guardians such as D3 and enlisted agents like the scientist Dr. Clay. One of these manipulations produced a promising result when a being known as Z acquired immense power, including the ability to generate Light Hawk Wings. Tokimi took Z as her servant to study him, but she found him erratic and hot‑headed, and she grew concerned that he might destroy the universe if left unchecked.

Tokimi continued her search until a message from Dr. Clay led her back to her departed sisters—and to Tenchi Masaki, a young man who also possessed the power of the Light Hawk Wings. Intrigued, she ordered Z to observe Tenchi without interfering. Disobeying her command, Z attempted to eliminate Tenchi, and the conflict escalated to the point of nearly destroying Earth. Tokimi finally intervened as Z was about to strike a fatal blow, but Z had prepared a being called the Counter‑Actor, which initially manifested as a red ring that prevented Tokimi from offering aid. Later, when Tenchi’s own energy raged out of control, the three Choushin sisters worked together to contain it. The Counter‑Actor then took the form of a demonic version of Empress Misaki and attacked Tokimi, but Tenchi regained control and calmed the entity before she was harmed.

Tokimi’s personality is marked by a detached, patient curiosity. She approaches the question of a superior being with the cold precision of a scientist, yet she is not malevolent; she intervenes only when outcomes threaten universal stability. Her motivations are intellectual and experimental, and she remains willing to cooperate with her sisters and even with Tenchi when the situation demands it. Over the course of the story, she develops from a distant, almost abstract force into a more active participant. She demonstrates the ability to appear in different forms—an adult woman with long blonde hair and blue eyes, and later a small child—and she possesses vast powers including dimensional manipulation, subspace control, and the authority to serve as a judge of events across realities. After the crisis with Z and the Counter‑Actor, Tokimi left to correct other abnormalities in the universe, but she returned to the Masaki household in time for the wedding of Nobuyuki and Rea Masaki. She also used her abilities to remove a tampering from Noike’s cells, revealing a little girl inside—the discarded female half of Kagato—and restored her to Noike. Her ultimate fate remains uncertain, as it is not clear whether she will remain with the Masaki clan or continue her solitary exploration.
