Description
Akiha is a shinki, a spirit weapon, who serves under the god of war, Bishamonten. He is a supporting member of her large and diverse family of regalia, known as the Ha clan.

In his human-like form, Akiha is a male figure of short stature with a slightly wide build and brown hair. He typically wears a suit, which is the standard uniform for the shinki serving Bishamonten. His personality is characterized by a contrast between inner strength and outward shyness. He holds firmly to his own ideas and convictions but is also prone to succumbing under pressure from others. Despite his reserved nature, he has shown a capacity for leadership, particularly in dangerous situations, where he has taken the initiative to guide his fellow shinki to safety from attacking ayakashi, or phantoms. This demonstrates a genuine concern for the well-being of his companions.

Akiha’s primary role within Bishamonten’s clan is that of a healer. He possesses notable knowledge of medical care and has been promoted to the position of head doctor for the Ha clan. In this capacity, he is responsible for the health and treatment of his fellow shinki. As a shinki, his own combat ability comes from his transformation into a vessel for his god. When Bishamonten uses him, his vessel name is Shuki, and he takes the form of a small knife. Like all shinki, he is also capable of drawing a borderline, a sacred line of restriction used to separate the world of the living from the near shore and to fend off phantoms.

His key relationships are almost entirely defined by his place within Bishamonten’s household. He is deeply loyal to Bishamonten and is part of the collective of shinki who revere her. His interactions with other prominent members of the clan, such as the exemplar Kazuma, are typical of a subordinate following orders and contributing to the group's function. While Yato and his shinki Yukine are initially considered enemies of Bishamonten, Akiha has shown a capacity for objective respect, as he was impressed by and gave credit for Yukine’s rare ability to manifest as a blessed regalia.

Akiha’s development is subtle but significant. He begins as a background figure within the large clan but gradually takes on a more defined and crucial role. His ascension to the position of head doctor marks his growth from a generic member of Bishamonten’s regalia into a specialized and essential support for the entire group. This development highlights that his contribution to the story is not through direct combat, but through his invaluable skills in medicine and his quiet, steady leadership under duress.
