Description
Liu Lyon, also referred to as Ryuu Lion, is an elf with sky blue eyes and hair that was originally golden blonde but was dyed green by her coworkers at the Hostess of Fertility. She was born into a family that cared for the sacred tree in the Ryumilua Forest. Growing up, she became disenchanted with the behavior of other elves toward non-elf races, eventually deciding to leave her home village and travel to Orario.
Upon arriving in Orario, she joined the Astrea Familia and became an adventurer known by the alias Gale. She kept her true name hidden and was known only by her surname. Driven by a strong sense of justice that was recognized by her goddess and her companions, she progressed rapidly through the adventurer levels, reaching Level 4 in about a year to a year and a half. During the Great Feud, she and her familia defeated Alfia. Two years later, the Astrea Familia was ambushed inside the Dungeon by the Rudra Familia, and the resulting damage spawned a Juggernaut that killed nearly everyone present, leaving Liu and one other as the only survivors. Consumed by vengeance, she persuaded her goddess to leave Orario so she would not witness what Liu intended to do. She then single-handedly destroyed the Rudra Familia and other groups associated with Evilus using trickery, traps, and assassinations, earning a bounty of 80 million valis and being branded a fugitive. After her revenge was complete, she collapsed in an alley from her injuries and was found by Syr Flova, who brought her to Mia Grand to be nursed back to health. She subsequently joined the Hostess of Fertility as a waitress, where she remained for five years until the aftermath of the Great Faction War.
Liu is calm and stoic by nature, with a strict and honest personality. She speaks in a serious tone but can be softer with people she trusts. She has a strong sense of justice and is deeply kind-hearted, often involving herself in troublesome situations to help others. In her youth, she was idealistic about justice, believing it was possible to save everyone. Like many elves, she is selective about who may touch her, though she was advised by a close friend not to let go of a man who managed to hold her hands, which led her to begin observing Bell Cranel closely. She does not hold the common elven hatred toward the Crozzo family or their magic swords, as she considers the destruction of elven forests to have happened long ago and her village was not directly affected.

She eventually comes out of retirement and resumes adventuring, playing a significant part in the conflict with the Dark Faction and later during the war game against the Freya Familia. She becomes a member of the Hestia Familia under the registered name Liu Astraea and reaches Level 6, achieving what was considered the first consecutive rank ups in history from Level 4 to Level 6. She also holds the record for the fastest rank up from Level 5 to Level 6.
