Description
Liliruca Erde, often called Lili, is a female Pallum who serves as a supporter and strategist for the Hestia Familia in the city of Orario. She was born into the Soma Familia, where her parents neglected her and forced her to earn money from an early age. After her parents died in the Dungeon, she was left to fend for herself and was bullied by other Soma Familia members. She attempted to become an adventurer but lacked combat talent, so she became a supporter, a role that involved carrying equipment and loot for adventurers. During this time she was constantly mistreated and looked down upon, which fueled a deep hatred and distrust of adventurers. To survive, she began using her innate transformation magic, Cinder Ella, to disguise herself and steal from the parties she joined. Her only goal was to earn enough money to buy her freedom from the Soma Familia.
Her life changed when she met Bell Cranel, a novice adventurer from the newly formed Hestia Familia. She initially intended to trick and rob him, but Bell’s unusual kindness and generosity—he gave her an equal share of their spoils and treated her with respect—confused her and caused her to question her cynical worldview. When she was cornered and left to die by a former party member, Bell saved her without hesitation. This act of salvation convinced her to change her ways. With the help of the goddess Hestia, she secured her freedom from the Soma Familia and officially joined the Hestia Familia.
Personality-wise, Lili is shrewd, calculating, and initially very distrustful of others, a direct result of her traumatic past. After joining the Hestia Familia, she becomes deeply loyal, though she retains a sharp-tongued and straightforward manner. She addresses everyone with the honorific “sama” (translated as “Master”), a habit born from the discrimination she suffered. She is the self-appointed treasurer of the familia and is extremely careful with money, often taking the most logical and cautious approach in discussions. Her desire to keep her new family safe can sometimes lead her to cold-hearted decisions, such as opposing the rescue of Haruhime or the sheltering of the Xenos, not from a lack of compassion but from a fear of bringing trouble upon her loved ones. After receiving training from Finn Deimne and Daphne Lauros, she grew into a skilled commander, earning the alias “Little Marshal.” During the War Game against the Freya Familia, she was placed in charge of coordinating the entire faction alliance, and later she was chosen to coordinate thousands of troops from Orario and the School District during a major operation in the Dungeon.
